  6. I agree but the public isn't going to find a game to take a 3d model from the government its going to be from a company and i dont want anyone to get in trouble over this
  7. o crud, i take it no one from the forums is a international copyright lawyer that can vouch with 100% certainty. o come i cant even find info for my own country (usa) how is the 'average man' so post to know this stuff? come on government i am trying to be legal here
  8. I figured before someone whipped out an epic 3d model of ridiculous standards that this should be said and looked for i just did some cutting edge research by that i mean searched google while eating popcorn and i found this source: 1988 Copyright Designs and Patents Act: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/48/contents This is for the UK and so im not 100% sure about global laws. i would only use it if you where going to change a very large portion of the model *and still give credit AND NEVER SELL IT
  9. Metric system win! sigh sadly in America we are not discouraged by this http://ca.gizmodo.com/5786004/these-are-the-three-countries-who-dont-use-the-metric-system
  10. Welp this isn't 100% but i got it to work a couple of times for games. It is called [glow=red,2,300]3DRipperDX[/glow] http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm and a quick start guide http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm#quickstartguide in a nut shell you launch the game in window mode from 3dripperdx and take a 'screenshot' of the models and textures that you can export easily to 3dsmax make sure you point to the game itself and not a launcher The program works but is very crude and may not get the best results *i got it to work with World of Tanks *i am not sure of the legality of this but either way DO NOT CLAIM others people work that is never cool
  11. That is exactly what is needed Thank you so much! status 3dxmax template 1.0 model complete reference scale complete texture complete collision complete readme complete uploaded complete Blender template Pending
  12. ok thanks, your work will mean alot of people, it would also be possible to work back words and make a detailed wiki/video tutorial of the process *ive used 3dsmax before but i am far from proficient and i feel many others are the same way credit will definitely be given to help with this
  13. would you consider uploading ur 3dsmax project file for template use? http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=478.0
  14. after several tries i renamed a sound file then re-targeted the .cgf to it and it worked fine but i have done that same process several times before to no prevail i also cant seem to add any sounds of my own no matter what am i just missing something? i really want to use my acapella sound fx
  15. What i feel that is currently lacking is a 'template' for 3d models i mean like a blender/3dsmax file, that has the collision and textures applied and ready to correctly import into game this could greatly help people in visualizing scale, and not have to start from scratch it can be a simple cube it really doesn't matter as long as it correctly loads into partslab and ksp so lets say if some one wants to make a wing instead of starting from absolute scratch they can mod the cube into the shape required im not a 3d model expert or anything so i dont know how textures would work 'universally' but it should greatly help people in debuging by haveing an example of what works thanks!
  16. so what is with the censored bar? i mean like if it was thaaaaat bad why take the pic?
