How to edit part pictures?

what do you mean by button? eh a better way of saying this is, What do you use for editing the textures/whatever the new file is for part pictures? -
Hello everyone I am attempting to create a senior science node based off the hitch-hiker unit, but I don't know how to edit the picture. I'm sure all of you guys have a clue Could someone clue me in?

Great Idea. Love it. Also there should be a mapping piece added to the game. AND Coordinates should be visible when hovering over a planet. not after you land. Timed reports would be pretty cool but I'd go both ways depending on the balance. Should I start a pole? I could also create a modded piece probably to do that -
I suggest a large mount R&D facility that would be about the same size as the hitch-hiker pod. It would maybe be called the "Science Sr." or something along that line. the piece would basically be a larger data gathering system that would require an electric charge and possibly give out timed reports like every 10 Kerbal days(maybe just the standard report). Also suggested is a minimum crew to run. I think a large mount science piece is a needed.

*I've seen posts disagreeing with science as well but I haven't seen a pole. I strongly agree with everyone who says KSP career is the worst of grinding and would like to see development in branches relevant to what types of flight you are doing. If I fly a plane 10 kilometers across the ocean, I would like to get more advanced lift or control. If I fly in high atmosphere, I want better efficiency. more times you get in orbit, the more probe pieces unlocked. If I travel to another planet, I'd like better survivability and likewise... NOT GETTING JETS FOR GOING TO AN ATMOSPHERE-LESS MOON! I think many of you agree with me and possibly there should be 2 options for career tree planning - one with generic science and one with relevance to flights?

Yeah your right. I think that there should be a total budget limit, but also allow people to rack up in specific areas rather than generic points for everything. make it so people can unlock things they want by doing what they want. Don't force people to work in a cubical so they can get something better, let them choose what job they want first. -

If you fly a plane for 10 kilometers over the ocean you should get better wings and engines. same as flying high to get ram intakes and similar parts related to efficiency. If you travel to other planets, more efficient engines should come easier. If you land on other bodies, better landing gear and chutes! The science should be specific to what you DO! YOU should choose whether to do specific missions, rather than try to rack up the most "science" in going to atmosphereless planets to get jet engines. -
can I have clearer installation instructions? "extract the contents of the folder into you KSP archive and merge where it tells you too" VERY SPECIFIC! where to I even put the parts? I dragged all of them into the structural folder because the folders don't specify the types of parts. what do I do with the pictures and tutorials?!? what even do. - coming from an experienced mod installer.

Just 2 interesting Ideas: I noticed in the builder and in the piece files that you can create intakes that store oxygen? It would be cool if I could build a space plane that sorta works in space. (this idea is kinda silly but it'd be pretty cool ) ALSO it would be cool to make eve's oceans made of some form of rocket fuel so you can fill up your engines again with a piece. (I heard a joke that eve's oceans where made of rocket fuel but they should actually be!) - Avera9eJoe

How to edit VAB/SPH and flight sounds?

D: ok thats what I thought... I was just hoping I could add some home-made marimba and piano tracks or something... Do you know of any mods that have custom sounds? -
I know there are listed sounds for nature, and the effects of clicking and editing in the VAB and SPH, but I cannot locate the background music. I also cannot find the space ambience tunes ore the intro theme. anyone know how I could possibly edit these or add in my own?

1st Day In KSP - What Am I Doing Wrong

I would almost suggest not even trying to launch first flight. Just put a command pod on the launch pad, hop out, and collect an EVA report and a ground sample of the launchpad (right click on the Kerbin). after that hop back into the pod and recover the vessel by scrolling above the altitude measurement. those 2 tests should give you enough science to research the first node. with that you can probably figure out the rest. DUDE YOU ARE S RIGHT! I greatly enjoy problem solving games but even more so building games. Also Apollo 13 is a great movie what KSP needs now in my eyes is an easy multiplayer. Or a "race to the mun" game or something like that...

Inside the new R&D facility there's a bridge about 40 meters across and 10-15 meters above the ground. everyone wants to fly a plane under it hahaha
