  1. This thread is only 2 months old.
  2. oH gOSH pLEASE sTOP nOW iTS sO hARD tO rEAD In other news, my band teacher asked us what 10+9 was, and almost every student said "21" Of course it was a movie reference, and not actual stupidity, but it was still hilarious and facepalm worthy. Our director just walked out of the room for a while. XD
  3. Baha you are amazing. I couldn't tell, did the AI throttle down to half, and then throttle back up to full? Or was it already at half? Other then that, it looks amazing.
  4. Ok, google was stupid, it gave me the distance of an AU when I asked for pluto. Well, since pluto is actually 8 times farther away then Jupiter is, I don't even need to get into math about why it appears smaller.
  5. However, once you learn how to use it it's wonderful. I started with zero knowledge and 1 day later I was whisking around making renders and such. It makes me want to be a modeler for mods. Anyone want a modeler?
  6. YEESSSSS NOOOOOO TUBM is breathing through their mouth. (thumbs up for weird question. )
  7. MrHappyFace, can you take a look at this? ^^^ (if you missed it) Cause I really don't see how it would be stealing unless it was used for a game or something.
  8. Unless you have it set to use the old targeting system, you don't need to target the craft at all. You need to find the craft on a radar (for radar missiles) to get a lock on. Heat seekers can use radar, or if you fire them at the optimal angle to get a lock on the targets heat sig. You can no longer use laser missiles for air to air.
  9. YES PLEASE MAKE THE TARGETING POD BE ABLE TO JUMP TO SAVED GPS COORDS. Also, I thought radar could detect enemy missiles. It has no reason to detect it's own missile. Also, Baha, I LOVE the t- time to impact on the radar for missiles. That is just brilliant and some extra icing on the cake. Speaking of icing on the cake, I noticed the AIM-9 Sidewinder actually sidewinds. (As in, it goes back and forth, side to side while tracking. It looks awesome) also, Can someone explain how the AGM-88 HARM works?
  10. Hey baha, quick question, do you actually have a physical (or digital) "todo list?" or is it just whatever you remember?
  11. The title suggests a hydrazine drinking challenge.
  12. ^ Man, getting forced into retirement for not causing a nuclear war. That stinks. They were "embarrassed" at their mistake, but how much more embarrassed do you think they would've been if he had launched the missiles?
  13. Found a little annoyance with the GPS thing. Quick saving and then reloading clears all saved GPS coordinates. It doesn't seem like much till you've fiddled around flying in circles to put GPS markers on a lot of KSC buildings and then save and later revert to find they're all gone. Any way you make it so that saved GPS coordinates are persistent?
  14. You mentioned turrets, I assume this means you want us to use BDArmory bombs? Cause stock bombs won't destroy very many buildings. Plus they aren't accurate. PLUS you would be looking at multi-hundred part count bombers.
  15. Ouch. That one hurt. Mine came from an argument I had yesterday with one of my fellow students in physics class. We were building a egg drop. Simple, first project of the year. I noted that since ours was filled with pillow stuffing, was very lightweight, and not very dense, that it would not fall as fast as some of the others due to air resistance. Here's how it went from there: Other student: Dude, I already told you, everything falls at the same speed. It doesn't matter if it's lighter. Me: They would fall at the same speed if there was no air. But there is air, which causes air resistance, or drag, which will cause it to fall slower than say if we filled it with lead or something. Him: No, everything falls at the same speed. Look *picks up the project and a roll of duct tape and drops them from roughly the same height in his hands* *they hit relatively close together, but there was a small separation* See! They hit at the same time! Me: That's because you dropped them from five feet, so they wouldn't have had time to reach a speed where the air resistance would make a difference. and because you couldn't have dropped them at the exact same time. Here, let me ask our physics teacher. Mrs. H, do all objects fall at the same speed on earth, where we have air? Student: Don't ask her specific like that, just ask her regularly. Do things fall at the same speed? Teacher: In a perfect environment with no air, yes. student: See! I told you! Me: ...She just proved me right.... Student: Alright let me look this up to prove it to you again. *looks it up* ok, this is what it says. A feather and a ball will not fall at the same speed, but a bowling ball and a pen will fall at the same speed. (facepalm at this article in not explaining anything at all) Student: See? Me: That was a very vague and confusing way to put that, but it still proves me right. The pen and bowling ball will have somewhat similar drag-mass ratios if the pen falls point first. But the feather falls slower because of air resistance. Another student who everyone knows is one of the smartest kids in the class (besides me ) : Yeah, he's right, the air slows down less dense objects. Student: No, it doesn't. All objects fall at the same speed. I'm done arguing. *facepalm* *facepalm* *facedesk* Not trying to be mean to him, but this guy isn't the smartest in the class, everyone knows that. He struggled in math and science classes before. I don't doubt he can do well in this class if he tries hard. Yet he was certain that he was right, and that two of the smarter people in the class were wrong. And he was also certain that the teacher proving me right was actually proving him right. I gave up because I knew there was no way to convince him, plus I know I'm right so. Yeah. *facepalm*
  16. oh. well crap. Now I have nothing to do. Guess I'll mess around with JDAMs now.
  17. Having lots of fun! Only one problem, the AI isn't trying at all. I set guard to 1s interval and 360 FOV. It detects me and starts taking off and I take off to fight it. But if I just fire one heat seeker, it gives up and lets the heat seeker blow it up, with no resistance. No evasive maneuvers, no flares, nothing. It just keeps flying until impact. Same with AIM-120s. We are flying identical planes, with radar, flares, and chaff. Why won't it attack me or defend itself? List of stuff on the plane: Wep Manager, AI computer, Laser targetting pod, Radar nosecone, 10 Hellfires, 4 AIM-120s, 2 Sidewinders, 2 flare pods, and 2 chaff pods. I have Guard set to 5km view, 360 FOV, and 1s interval, team B, and AI to 4 turn limiter and 4 turn dampener, min altitude 150, standard 1500, standyby mode on, pilot on. My Wep manager is set to team A. Why isn't it trying?
  18. Downloading Now! So much Hype! You really caught me off guard there Baha, was expecting at least another week!
  19. Holy.... My ears hurt from the shear amount of the F-word that this kid used. Like seriously, he can't be older than 12. His voice cracks when he swears. XD I can't even. "Zelda is a ripoff of **** minecraft. Wanna know why, you **** ****? What do you do in **** Zelda? You **** swing a **** sword around. JUST LIKE IN **** MINECRAFT. and you go around, and kill **** monsters, and **** explore worlds. And where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, **** MINECRAFT!!!" He had to take a breather every 2 minutes from all the screaming and swearing. to mods, all swear words were replaced by ****, with no first letter or correct number of characters, that way it isn't obvious what he said, and anyone who doesn't know swear words won't be able to tell what it is at all.
  20. But, missiles that drop and then fire don't slide off, they drop. Depends on the missile. I don't see any harm in the drop way for the rails, because the hellfires pretty much go straight anyways.
  21. It's weird, I haven't designed a plane with over 60 parts in ages thanks to the newer wing parts/mk2 parts and such. I always think "this will have so many parts" and then I look and it has like 40 or something.
  22. Did you try turning down release time? And I think there is a collision checking option in the CFG that you can turn off for any missile/bomb you want. - - - Updated - - - The stock hardpoint is only for the support, the missiles would still be attached to the BD hardpoints.
