Chapter One- Kerbal Down “Bill, you have permission to take off, overâ€Â. Bill Kerman was a veteran of the Kietnam Air war. He knew every trick in the book. Bill turned on his headset “Roger that, overâ€Â. Bill opened up the throttle and sped down the runway in his state-of-the-art Kerain fighter jet. He pulled the joystick back and lifted his machine in to the air. Bill and his wingman, Werner Kerman, were on a mission to scout out the Kong military research complex in North Korea. Suddenly, Bill heard his wingman’s voice crackle over the radio. “Hey Bill, what are those blips on my radar?â€Â. “Which direction?†Bill asked. “About 17 Miles North-East, over the Kadagascar islands. Let’s check it out!†Werner banked his aircraft towards the islands. Bill chased after him at a breakneck speed. As the Islands came in to view, a series of shots rang out, hitting Werner’s aircraft. “I’m hit! The engine has cut out!†I’m going to crash!â€Â. Bill could only watch as his companion smashed in to the cold ocean surface. Bill shouted in to his radio “KSC this is Bill Kerman, we have come under fire over the Kadagascar islands. I’m going in to strafe the islands!†“Roger that, use your HE Archer Missiles; they’ll take out the buildingsâ€Â. “Firing now!â€Â. A crack reverberated through the cockpit, drowning out the constant static from the Kerbal Space Center. The missiles sped towards the buildings, their LV-1 engines constantly buzzing and spitting out flame. “Hit!†Bill exclaimed. “5 confirmed casualties, possible that building obtained minor structural damage. Flying towards Kerian controlled airspace nowâ€Â. “Roger that Bill, refuel at nearest baseâ€Â.
