A picturesque takeoff on my first ever trip to Duna. This ship will send my mini rover, named the Microver I, to hopefully land on Duna's surface for the first time. This is the same ship I used to put Kerbals on Mün and Minmus. It took all night to figure out Duna's transfer window, even with MechJeb's help. Eventually I figured out an easy way to get to there and Eve. I severely underestimated Duna's thin atmosphere, and landed a little too hard. My rover bounced and landed on its side. Mission over So, not to be discouraged, I decided to go somewhere else. This is my first trip to Eve. I like Eve's atmosphere a lot better than Duna's. Touchdown, mission successful! It was on a slope, and as the rover was rolling and eventually the solar panels ripped off. So, the rover itself is dead, but I still think the mission was successful.

First time spotting a solar eclipse today during my first ever trip to Duna.

Thanks for the link! Is that a comet???

That is awesome! Any ideas where it all came from? I could use some more additions to my desk to go along with the crap ton of Portal stuff already there.
-
Now that looks awesome!

Turn music off. That seems to be what the latest issue is. Once YT detects any sort of music, it'll likely flag it. A lot of previously uploaded videos are getting hit too. Give it a try, it might work.

These 3 videos helped me out big time. After watching them, I managed to get a SSTO up into orbit on my first try.

That's no moon.

A couple shots from my first ever trip out to Minmus. No idea why the top part of the HUD is showing in the screenshot, I turned the HUD off. Very weird. I landed on this stage, because with today's gas prices I didn't want to waste any fuel, lol. Cool sun rise over Minmus, or was it a sunset? I went straight from Minmus back into reentry. This is the result of a 3500m/s reentry. Once I knew I wasn't going to bounce back out into space, I staged. Looks awesome during reentry.

I did something I've never done before: landed on Minmus. And on my first attempt too! All without mods, I wanted to land on both Mun and Minmus before adding any sort of assisting mods. The ship isn't mine, but the work getting out there was. I wasn't entirely sure if I would have had enough fuel to get home, so I made sure I kept that stage attached as long as possible, lol.

We are coming up on a very unfortunate page number in this thread.

Incredible shot!

That's pretty awesome. Is that the external seat with a parachute strapped to the back?
-
How about a daytime launch so that those of us with eyeballs can see what the hell is going on here?
-
I believe the tower is still present in the demo version of the game.

The visuals. I think this game, with the proper computer hardware, is very beautiful. I wish there were some visual plugins that have nebulas and stuff off in the distance. I've always thought it was cool (regardless of how physics would be involved or whatever) to see a ringed planet in our own sky on a daily basis. I mean, how badass would that be?! A lot cooler than just the moon being up there.
-
All I did was finally getting around to adding the City Lights and Clouds plugin/mod whatever you call it. Took a couple attempts but I got it. Now everything looks pretty damn fancy.

Almost a month-old thread, but Harv from HOCgaming just posted this on YouTube and I thought you guys would really enjoy it. "Space Probe" Payphone Parody (Is there a way of embedding in this forum? All the usual tricks for vBulletin forums aren't working)

I vote to sticky this thread. I mean, it's pretty popular, don't you think?

I'm amazed at how easy some people make doing things look in this game. Even though I'm awful at this game, I still enjoy it.

I recreated Scott Manley's SSTO aircraft he created in his most recent lesson in aerodynamics video. It ended up being the first SSTO vehicle I've ever gotten into orbit. Hell, it's the first ACFT I've ever gotten off the ground without catastrophe. I even made it around the planet and landed back at KSC! I re-entered a little short so I had to fly home, but still, I feel like I've accomplished something. Right as I got her into orbit. I wish this one was a little more centered, but taking screenshots with my Mac isn't easy. I kept accidentally throttling up. Coming back in. Here she is, simple yet efficient.
-
I'm at "Mün-level", but there a few times. I'll stick with Mün and Minmus for now, I haven't figured out asparagus staging or docking just yet. Baby steps.
-
Killed Jeb and Bob trying to liftoff Mün Apollo-style and ran out of fuel. Bill was still in the orbiting command module, so after watching his buddies slam into the Mün's surface, he went home.

Currently playing KSP for Extra-Life.org to help the Rooster Teeth team raise money for children's charities. I'm playing for Beaumont Children's Hospital here in Michigan. Gonna try landing on Mün for the first time on my Mac (it's easy on my PC, not to much on my Mac).

Launched 3 flights today playing career mode for the first time on my Mac (I've played before on my PC, but it's been awhile). Made it into orbit on the 3rd flight. Now I don't know which way to go in the unlock tree.
