Right now, making a 25 min retrograde burn on Moho's SOI with the LV-Ns to end up in orbit... And this time we will be coming back home!
-
"Small smuggler ship"!! WTF! She'll make point five past lightspeed. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts!
-
Maybe it has to do with the colission mesh (or whatever its called ) of the doors of both ports being open? Maybe they are colliding and you cannot see it...

Building circular stuff in the VAB

Yes, they have symmetry, all of them. However, all hell breaks loose here even before i load the subassembly Anyway that could explain part of what's happening, thanks for the thought. I'm gonna go and try to attach a rocket without symmetry to it before it bugs.... If that's the case it's gonna be fun to lift that thing without using symmetry lol Hmmm very nice idea too! Hadn't occured to me either. Thanks! -
Vouch for good old Arthur C. Clarke, and Asimov too, but im a big Clarke fan here You should give'em both a shot OP

Hi, So i've been trying to build a big 'wheel' of sorts to dock in a big space station i'm working on. I first started with this idea: But the VAB editor seems to hate it, and whenever i try to move anything or whatever, parts get sticked to my cursor, and all the buttons stop working. I have to alt+F4 or task manager out of KSP. When i reload, i get the same problem again and again. Sometimes i somehow manage to stick a subassembly rocket and hit the Launch button, but it bugs the hell out in the launch pad too. Sometimes it starts horizontally, missing all the arms altogether. And it always starts with missing parts, which are either fixed floating at some point close to the rocket, or laying on the ground nearby. The thing has 560 parts, and im pretty certain i've built and launched things with more parts with no problems (problems with bugs i mean lol). Then i tried to simplify it a bit, and built this: And i get exactly the same problems. I tried rebuilding it from scartch many times, I even tried enabling part clipping in the cheat menu, but it was all useless. I'm wondering, what the hell im i doing wrong here? Does the editor hate this type of building or does it simply hate me? Is it the parts clipping, or is it too big, or... i don't know! I'm pretty sure i've seen similar things in videos and so on, not to mention Whackjob's work here in the forums... Don't know, im pretty lost here guys... What can i do? Thanks in advance!

Nope, i think it wont be going up any time soon -
Just built this bad boy with the intention of bringing it up and docking to my station.... but the editor seems to hate me, and breaks when i try to move it or add more pieces... It doesnt crash, but the pieces stick to my cursor and all the buttons are rendered useless, and I have to task manager out of KSP. I dont know, its 559 parts, i have built aberrations with more parts with no problems (in the editor ). But i wont surrender!

Congratulations SQUAD, prize well deserved!!
-

Trying to get a pretty big atomic interplanetary ship into orbit, sometimes it works, sometimes..... Well, even Jeb got freaked out on this one ;P Kaboom! -
Well thank you sir, those are nice as well Heres a new module too, will get much bigger and cpu melting ^^
-
Started a new LKO station, because i hadnt since 0.22 came out. First 5 modules up!
-
Landing Jeb and Bill on Eeloo with two rovers while Bob stayed in orbit waiting for the rendezvous, and safely returning them all to kerbin without rescue/refueling. Next stop Moho! (when i succeed in putting the massive vessel in orbit again, thats the hard part xD)
-
For me, its that sense of acomplishment you get when your carefully planned and built mission finally gets to its objective (after several explosio... erhmm controlled failure tests )
-
Despite its small, the Whackness can be felt on this one Dont despair man! Cheers!
-
In the beggining of the career mode, i stranded a few kerbals in permanent manned science rovers in far away worlds, to science-spam the ***** out of them. Now that i have the full tree, and im dedicating to 'higher' endeavors, i dont strand kerbals anymore. After testing my new interplanetary capabilities with several return trips, im now planning to recover those stranded poor souls who sacrificed their pleasant lifes in Kerbin in the early days of the program for the advancement of SCIENCE!
-
"Soooo, you want that rover to go straight and stick to the ground, right?"
-
Just escaped Eeloo with Jeb, Bill and Bob, and matched planes and intersected Kerbins orbit with a bit over 8'5k DV still left
-
I still do, i love probes One of the missions i do in every save is building a sort of probulator with many small probes attached to it, sending it to Jool and go leaving probes on the moons. Sure you dont get as much science as a manned mission, but its fun and i usually do it when i dont really need the science anyway.
