  1. Since the game was a buy-in investment alpha, the game won't really have an end. It'll just eventually peter off until nobody really cares about it. Minecraft's 1.0 was hardly a 1.0 at all, since hardly anything changed. KSP won't be much different.
  2. How many objects do you have in orbit? It's important to check your debris count too. Also, one more test you should conduct. While launching, try not to look at the horizon at all and check your FPS. Then, launch again and watch the horizon of Kerbin the whole time you are going up. If the second proves to be the case, I believe it's your GPU bottlenecking itself, and you may need a new one.
  3. He was in warp mode. In warp mode, physics isn't calculated. You can jam two ships into each other, but if you go back into 1X, they will explode.
  4. Those are some fantastic craters in the bottom. Great job!
  5. Oh man, forgot all about the old WEKA lifeboat. Good to see it's being kept alive.
  6. I have no idea really, sorry. I found it a long time ago browsing google or some space art site. It reminds me of a north pole expedition, only this time on the moon of a ringed planet (I am not sure if that is Saturn).
  7. One of my all time favorites. (Not mine!)
  8. Please remove the giant annoying dog face you've posted. Like just a request, that or size it down.
  9. No resources, meaningless focus on multiplayer, and we'd have to use origin. So yeah, not far off.
  10. I don't know if I'd call the back ones knives. They are more like stationary chainsaw teeth.
  11. Oh, I had no idea it used reaction wheels. But for the size of a gundam (10 meters tall?) they would have to be pretty reasonably sized. Not quite a large white and red painted warrior who fights with a plasma sword though.
  12. Yeah, radially built rockets rotate like crazy because of all the mass that isn't centered. Imagine swinging a 50 pound rocket outstretched, and then trying to slow it down.
  13. GunDam from what I have seen is purely science fiction. Warp drives and mecha suits are pretty far out there. The way in which the mecha's would orientate themselves draws a line as to how they lack realistic qualities, as the limbs may move, but that is it. They wouldn't be able to rotate without some form of RCS. The way the ships close in (from what I have seen they only remain pointed in a single direction) and would have some way to retro fire to slow themselves down. If you want an anime that adheres to realistic space physics then I recommend Planetes.
  14. Oh no, I'm not arguing that you should build things like that right now. But I am implying that we shouldn't need to install mods in order to fix things that the game doesn't have currently. Most of the craft I build are very reliable, but if I am replicating a real launch vehicle, I occasionally run into wobble.
  15. I could understand your point, but KSP's atmospheric simulation is severely flawed. His plane may well have worked had KSP's atmospheric code not been so primitive. New aerodynamics is something KSP needs, because for now we have to abide by the laws of KSP's limitations rather than make sensible designs to work. For the case of wobble, we shouldn't have to have a real fear of wobble unless what we are designing is something that would not normally work in real life.
  16. Good thing GTA V isn't designed to be a rocket simulator right?
  17. I completely agree with the OP. Wobbliness is one of the factors that keeps me from having fun, and many others in KSP. The game would be much better if the idea that rockets falling apart even when they are designed just like real ones. We shouldn't have to design our rockets to conform to KSP's physics, we should have to design our rockets to conform to REAL physics, or at least something remotely close. In KSP's current state, you are just stitching masses together. The larger masses, the more instability you have (ie: wobblieness).
  18. I can understand how you can say "Ignore the complainers", but I think in the way you are using it you are also dismissing people's opinions on whether something was a good or bad idea, and to roll with the developers opinions unhindered. This is toxic to everyone involved as it shuts one group out, and shelters the ones that are making the mistake.
  19. This, I don't know if Squad even thought about what multiplayer would entail other than this. I don't even know if they WERE thinking.
  20. I kinda did that with a big habitat module I was sending to the Mun. I had got all the infrastructure, and built this huge ship that would lug about 30 kerbals to the Mun, and had them all filled. I flew the module to the Mun only to realize that I never bothered to look down at the Kerbals in the pods, and it was being piloted by a single one.
  21. How is something as mind bogglingly big as multiplayer not a core feature of the game? If you mean resources, you are still completely wrong in the fact that resources will directly influence changes in career mode and that you will need to sell/buy things that increase revenue for your space program. To say something like that is completely wrong. EDIT: Meta, things may seem to be getting really bad now, because you joined at the start of it all happening. 0.19 was the update in which the developers officially stopped delivering content.
  22. You want to go at terminal velocity at all times, that way you aren't shoving against the atmosphere, but aren't letting it keep your speed low (rockets are more efficient when they are moving fast)
  23. This is honestly the most toxic thing you can say to a developer. This statement alone builds them up to ignore valuable criticism and to just follow through even if they are making a huge mistake as they are now. For some reason you think the developers are building KSP out of the kindness of their hearts and are giving it to us for free. Defending the developers from criticism is not only harmful to the game, but detrimental to the community as it arises arguments.
  24. I'll tell you this. SQUAD struck a goldmine with KSP, and are not running out of money for quite a long time.
