But this is the first time in my entire school experience that I've been up past, say, 10:30 PM doing homework. Most people I know seem to do so every day. Is my case really that unusual? (Have you ever done this before?)

If you do this, you can jump out, take out whatever data is in a capsule, and get back in. The Crew Report gets reset, and you get to keep the report you had before! Also works with sensor science and EVA/Surface Samples.
