  1. And it was just days after the release of 1.0, so it is expected to have so many users online. I don't think it's dying. In fact, compared to other places this forum is insanely active. I'll admit that the rate of activity has decreased slightly but there are still new threads and new posts by the minute. Nothing to worry about.
  2. *GASP* Wherewherewherewhere?!? I managed to bring the Kalzoria Star to our base. It's getting really crowded. I'm going to make an outpost somewhere and move my ships to free some space/memory for the new guys.

  5. This would be great for an aesthetics overhaul when (if) they get around to it. Supported on the case that they add everything functional first.
  6. I don't get why there are "Pods" and "Command and Control" categories. They contain vastly different parts put the names suggest they have similar ones. Categories need some work. Why not like this? Okay forget that, I don't know what I was trying to say. :I I do agree with this change though.
  7. Well, 0x warp would be interesting, but IMO kind of cheaty. Sometimes you'll get a mission where you've got hours to spare just gazing at the emptiness of space, other times you're flying the whole way by the seat of your pants. It's a characteristic of KSP that I personally love. Perhaps as a debug panel option? It would be great for screenshots... As per the topic, I'd love a way to make very small/very large adjustments to maneuvers. ATM it is nearly impossible to make minor adjustments, and it takes way too long to drag a node out to Jool orbit from LKO.

  9. They already have the software they need to do that in the form of 3D rendering/modeling engines. Hook one of those up to one of these things and see what it spits out.
  10. It's so pretty... I ran a combat test, Kalzoria Star against a pirate-controlled version of itself. (AI was on easy... dunno what the server's AI is set to) The fight dragged on for at least twenty minutes, until I figured out how to take my own ship out: Go for the turrets. I targeted one of them so my own turrets would concentrate fire and gave the enemy ship the works. A few seconds later, it's shields dropped below 50% and it all fell to pieces. One of my turrets landed a hit, and at least six of the enemy's turrets fell off. Thus weakening the defenses. More missiles hit, more turrets fell off. Soon it had none left. I stopped chasing the ship and waited for my rockets to get a lock, and fired everything at once. That finished the battle. All it managed to do to me was knock off a few of my turrets. (Again, it was on easy)
  11. That would be quite fun. I'll see what's possible. Yep, it's the one in the screenshots. I was testing it on a shop fleet near the server spawn when I had to leave, so you won't find it. (Probably. ) I was having some lag issues but finally landed a hit with the main missile array and one-shotted the Salvager Corvette. Strangely enough, it seems the antimissile turrets were not responding, but it may have been that the AI was disabled. :I
  12. Yep, basically what everyone has said above. Learning how to orbit is not a small feat, nor is any part of this game. One step at a time.
  13. I don't think there is any way to tell which role a Kerbal has without going to the Tracking Station or into the game configs. I agree with the badge idea, but personally I'd like different suit colors, a prefix/suffix identifier, or simply an extra text field under the portrait which says what they are.

  15. There are like seventeen different mods that you need to install that Realism Overhaul relies on. I've never gotten it to work. :| Welcome aboard!

  17. I haven't tried 1.0.3 yet, but I did try FAR a while back, and it was very easy to get to orbit with just a few stages.
  18. Huh, that's odd. Was there any damage to it? EDIT: Oh, yeah, big-time damage. What the heck happened there?
  19. Fight pirates, fight players (We haven't done that yet), mine resources, capture territory, build stations and ships, whatever you want to, really. The list goes on forever. (It's on my to-do list to make a large-ish permacloak ship to mess with people at spawn. )
