  1. It says "Supporting at least X Kerbals", and you need at least that much in your ship to fulfill the contract. As far as I know it's always been that way.
  2. Oh! Since MechJeb contains a control script, it's defaulting to the MechJeb core. I would suggest pointing that out to the mod developer, I'm sure it is accidental behavior.
  3. Yes, this is a well known bug. It's better than the Get-Flung-Off-Into-Space bug in 0.90.0 and below. Does exactly what you think when you EVA.
  4. Whooo! It's OUT! Can't get it yet. When you patch does it redownload everything or just some things?
  5. Hmm. Hit "4" to activate Root Part Select mode, then click somewhere 1 part away from the command pod on your ship, then on the command pod. Should reroot the whole ship to the command pod if it isn't already.
  6. Bah, I hope it's not offline for months again. I was having so much fun!
  7. So I walked into Engineering class today expecting to record our autonomous car's run on the track we laid out on Tuesday. Lo and behold, someone had broken off all the male PWM cable pins on the car. Seriously, who the hell would do that?! So. Frustrating. That video is due by TODAY. *Rapid stripping and soldering commences*
  8. Made it, but I seem to have misplaced Jeb, Bob, Bill, and Val... Where'd you go, you bums? DRAT, just realized I had KER up. Is that ok?
  9. Yep, "C" or "V" will generally do the trick. What is this " ' " and "+" thing you speak of, isn't it "[" and "]"? What keyboard layout do you have?
  10. Sometimes, anyways. Stock has its own appeals. So do mods. If you feel like you've got everything you want in stock, so be it. If not, there are mods, or you can pose a suggestion over in the Suggestions and Development subforum. I enjoy KSP with and without mods. 1.0 is going to keep me (mostly, except for KER) mod-free for a long time. Plenty of new stuff to do, and old things to remake. Eventually I might go back to mods, there were some great ones. Environmental Visual Enhancements, Camera Tools, Distant Object Enhancement... [/off_topic_wandering] Anyways, I completely forgot what this thread was about. The statement "with the final release of Kerbal Space Program" can be taken several ways. 1.0, or the LAST version. (Not what they meant, I know. ) Good to see that it is in progress, I'd love to play with others. Have some space battles, races, build-offs.
  11. It's a bit of a minor thing, but the dialogue in all of the tutorials could really use some English to English translation. They are a bit sloppy, though it gets the point across. Little errors, like commas where semicolons could be, or certain words that could use quotation marks, run-on sentences, etc. (And some typos, the last time I checked.)
  12. Doubt it, cargo bays to just fine, don't they? And they have two nodes at each end.
  13. Yep, that's the link you want. Basically, a heck of a lot of stuff.
  14. Indeed, reentry heating and thermal physics are now implemented in the Stock game. Careful with those LV-Ns! Welcome onboard!
  15. Oh... this is interesting. You can make "Cuttable" chutes that don't get cut, and can redeploy on a whim? Thanks for sharing this, wanted to try it for a while but was scared for my Career mode guys.
  16. There was a mod that did just that, it was amazing. I'd love this feature! In fact, it makes the game more consistent: How come cargo bays are open ended but service bays are not?
  17. Indeed, but a feature like the Adjustable Landing Gear mod would be lovely. At least the option to tilt the wheels to face the ground for angled gear...
  18. How tall was this thing?! I've had Jeb and Val jump from heights greater than what I'm envisioning for your contraption and easily live...
  19. Yeah, I think that any Kerbal should at least be able to activate the pod's stability system. Unless Squad is implying that their capsules have NO stability systems and it is purely pilot skill... which I don't like.
  20. I loved it, then hated it, then missed it when I turned it off. It isn't that bad, and now it has grown on me.
  21. Right. Kerbal Engineer Redux is a big fat liar. Ran out of fuel 20 mins after launch, approximately 12 degrees south of KSC.
  22. Note that KSP was running for 10 minutes in the background without the engines on. Proper update would be nice.
  23. So in the Spaceplane Hangar, KER reported that I had 9 hours and 30 minutes of fuel in my craft. Atmospheric settings were on. However, not 20 minutes later, I had run out of fuel. What gives? Does KER not take into account the new ISPs or something?
