  1. Just blow it to kingdom come once you EVA the kerbal to your ship with the "terminate" button in the Tracking Station.
  2. And then he gets a lot of money and a new yard from Russia.
  3. Aaaaaand he's experienced realistic aerodynamics. 1.0 is a place where this can fly: ("Fly" is kinda pushing it. More like a really, really long jump, some kilometers long. It'll eventually fall from the sky when it bleeds off enough speed, but it can gain several hundred meters in height under its own power)
  4. More correctly, you want the CoM ahead of the CoL (Center of Lift), so that drag keeps the engines pointing away from space. If your engines are pointing towards space, you are not going to space today.
  5. You know what? I don't need no stupid capsule. I'll grab all the science and haul Jeb back home into LKO with his suit, then rescue him in orbit with the thing I made to take toursits into orbit. - - - Updated - - - EDIT: I hate the Mun. Quick, Jeb, BURN!
  6. Okay, I'm a try this. I've got like 12 units of LF/O left... Jeb, time to PUSH! Okay, turned on Infinite Fuel for a moment, to see if it would work, and it does! Now to do it for real!
  7. Eh, it hasn't been that long yet. Update would be nice, though, yes.
  8. You did exactly what I did, except for the winglets, as I didn't want to add in something he might have not gotten yet.
  9. Yeah, and the ones we got, I don't want to use. I agree with FishInferno as well, that all wings should be able to have fuel inside of them. (Though not very much, in some cases)
  10. Did you turn on the SAS? Don't stray too far from your prograde vector under 25,000 meters. If none of those are the case, then you might have a thrust discrepancy somewhere. I'll download it and see. EDIT: Flipping behavior confirmed. It's your staging sequence. I'll fix it up for you and post a screenshot. Your boosters and the LV-T45 should fire in tandem. The LV-T45 doesn't have to be at full thrust, it can be around 25%, and it will still have control authority over your rocket. EDIT: It helped for a while, disregard. Investigation pending. - - - Updated - - - Making progress, though this thing does NOT want to get to space. Few more things to do. EDIT: Success! Booster separation confirmed. Your problem was that the SRBs were mounted too high. Try moving them down a tad, so that the nozzle is level with AT LEAST the top of the "Swivel" near the bottom, or level with the Swivel's nozzle. If you want I can send you the fixed .craft file. Ah, here, I'll put it up for you if you want to grab it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpwig586vjf7yjh/Munar%20explorer%20Mk1.craft?dl=0
  11. I might have pushed my luck a bit too far this time. Got fired by the Mun into a Kerbolar orbit, and I cannot seem to get back to Kerbin. If I could figure out what direction to go I'd be fine, but unfortunately, I cannot see patched conics yet. If I am forced to wait it out until I can scrap up the 300,000 funds to upgrade the Tracking Station, so be it, but if someone could give me a vector it would be greatly appreciated and save me a few hours of work. I've tried Radial In and Retrograde, as well as just burning straight for Kerbin. However, it is unknown whether this is the right course of action because I have a very small amount of fuel. (Once the direction is established I'll use up the fumes in the fuel tank and just get out and push)
  12. Really, you guys need to get the Tier 2 pad ASAP. It helps so much. I have made it (to Mun flyby)!
  13. Ew, bleh. Only 19.1%. More testing required. Rocket is not efficient in any sense of the word.
  14. Ugghh, I know the feeling. I could handle about 1100 parts in 0.90 without an unreasonable amount of lag... haven't put anything near that size into 1.0. Not much point in it either.
  15. Huh, not much of a slowdown over here either. What's your processor? Mine's i7, dual core, 2.1 GHz.
  16. Ahhhhhh, hahaha ha ha haaaa! To the MUN! Finally! 1) Right, you need to upgrade your launch pad ASAP. It's the only way to get beyond LKO in career mode. 2) Aerodynamics doesn't really matter with small things (The boosters in the pic above), but if you put a big flat disk on one side of your ship you're just asking to be flipped.
  17. Oh, bummer, no more payload fractions of 60% for SSTO spaceplanes. Haven't had a chance to play with some of this new stuff yet, will post a thing soon!
  18. Huh, I've never noticed this before...
  19. Yeah, that's your issue. Think of it as enhanced subassemblies.
  20. Oh, look at that poor old Mk3 cockpit IVA! It's much better now! I remember...
  21. That ship spam is really irritating. I used to be quite good. Need to get back into the spirit...
  22. Very much this. How can Career be expected to train a new player if they don't know how to use the system yet, let alone work around its inaccuracies?
