  1. yes... girders. i mean girders... geez what am I thinking :-) and with those the point would be to reduce part count. the girders not having enough stack nodes is a pita. thx mate would be just awesome.
  2. is there a way to weld the struts together ? also a way to increase the size of the cubic attachement (or a cubic strut with 6 attachement points , same size / diameter than the normal struts ? i envision strut parts like this (ascii coming) . = nothing x = strut o = cubic strut piece .x xox .x and xox .x and xo .x thx in advance
  3. thiscubic strut core is great and it does help a lot, but it also increases part count fast. so ideal would be the cube, combined with struts that are there into one part: (sorry for ascii art) O = cube X = strut . = nothing xox .x and xo .x and .x xox .x
  4. last night i wondered why the heck my space-Tug wouldn´t dock on my station core (I thought Mechjeb failed).. even manually i couldn´t do it , even if my life were dependent on it. then it hit me: maybe the docking ports (Sr.clamps) were "broken" ?? the seemingly simple "AH HA" moment: when you mount the docking port the wronf way around, nothing can dock... so i scratched the whole mission (in fact the whole save) and corrected all my ship designs (it were a few ....)
  5. a girder "cross"-piece consisting of four girders and a "T-Shape" girder too (three ends) , all in one part an L-shape girder (corner-part) an I -shape girder (so a large one with two small ones on each end ) (two T´s combined at the long side) those parts would be awesome as rover chassis and for larger structures to reduce total parts count also it would be nice if those parts had more "connection-points" ... but that would just be icing on the cake
  6. thx mate. will take a look into it. on another side note: i recently tried to dock my new space-Tug to my orbiting station to get that into Mun orbit soon. the Tug-Ship has two docking ports: forward and aft (because I read that pulling stuff is much more stable then pushing tuff) so I chose the rear docking port, clicked "control fom here" but Mechjeb keeps docking witht he front docking port. am I missing something ? thanks in advance
  7. i read a lot about this ISA MAP mod and have taken a look into it. (not downloaded it yet).. I wondered: whats the use for it compared to kethane ? I mean with kethane i actually have a valid reason to scan a planet. Kethane is for (next to Mechjeb) the best mod so far. hands down

I have the same problem with my stages not set up properly, but that could very well be due to the fact that I also run subassembly manager, which is know to leave a few bist and pieces out when parts are loaded... I got a few question regarding the maneuver autopilots: 1. what´s a safe distance for the "encounter"-maneuver ? (can I set it to 20 m also and be safe ?) 2. there´s a "security threshold" to set up docking speed. It seems Machjeb never goes beyond that becaue docking takes FOREVER. I don´t mind waiting because it ´s better than me crashing my ship every time or taking even longer myself, but 2 hours for a 150m approach ? thats just insane... I am really needing help to increase the docking time (hence those two questions) thx in advance (oh and great mod!! )

  10. I AM STOKED !!!! it works. fresh install, brand new game. just Kethane and Mechjeb and now it´s working. Let the mining begin !! First Prospector-Probe on it´s way. Thx guys.
  11. ok thx. reading seems to help :-) i did deactivate my antivirus and now i have the "official 0.7.7" release. install was also somewhat ok. i got the mun-start picture with green hexes (yay) and can also assemble kethane modules and they actually stick on the ship. BUT (there always seems to be a but): when i move my newly assembled kethane prospector ship to the launchpad, I have a pure sky camera angle and the game does not react anymore. I can switch back to overall space center view, but nothing else. not even the "quit"-butten works. i had to shut it down using the task manager. anyone got an idea what might be the problem ? thx in advance
  12. Hey There, i am pretty new to the game and so far having a blast (over 50 hours of game time already within the first week!) anyways: I found the Kethane mod and tried my best to install it. BUT..... 1. the link in this thread does not work Why is that ? Is it not working with the current version of KSP ? I found several versions / archives from the Kethane mod, inclusing: - Kethane-0.7.7.zip - Kethane-master-zip (from github) -a Kethane.rar from some other thread. 2. which one is the "real one?" when i look into toe archives it seems to me in one the models are missing, in others something else.... 3. when i got it "to work / load" I can see the modules actually showing up in the VAB. I can select , but not put them on the actual ship. The right spounds pops up, but the fitted module is not showing up. So, in short: I really need help to get this Mod to work.... I am running KSP V0.21.1.276 any help would be greatly appreciated !! thx in advance !!
