I happen to be in a peculiar situation, and honestly can't tell whether it's a feature or a bug. Long story short, when 50% of my supplies run out, kerbals refuse to work, all the while consuming supplies. And these are the orange ones, mind you! Val, Bill and Bob. I could send a save but I run a bunch of mods as well. It could possibly be related to me warping at full time acceleration. Also, a useful bit of info, I'm trying to reach for minimus, and about as I reach apoapsis slightly behind the minimus orbit(10 days in), they all go on strike while having just about half the supplies left.

[0.23] Crowd-sourced Science Logs: SCIENCE NEEDS YOU!
Plymouth replied to codepants's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'd be delighted if you would continue. If you feel like lazy or want me to help you, just tell me what to do and I will indeed help you with routine, or not-so-routine work, to get this thing done quickly and properly. My skype: plymouth1111 -
Who won the Space Race? Community poll
Plymouth replied to czokletmuss's topic in Science & Spaceflight
By the end of the WWII, USA were the ones who had the full deck of scientists working on their space program, so for me, technically, they cheated. -
SPACE STATIONS! Post your pictures here
Plymouth replied to tsunam1's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
So, here is my piece of pure station-ness(Have yet to deliver it to the Munar orbit. Pretty much finished, might not look like it because there's a lot of docking ports. Still it's totally possible to continue building it but i'm good at where i am.): View from near the Morrigan M&E(Mining & Exploration) ship's cockpit which has been helping the James Station O-5 throughout it's construction period and was the first ship that docked with it. Question from a B9-space-plane-always-failing-enthusiast: Could you please tell me the proportions of fuel for sabre M and Sabre L to deliver the plane into orbit? I actually run out of rocket fuel about halfway to orbit. Partially that is because i switch to rocket fuel too early. About 25 KM, 1100-1300 m/s I heard that others managed to get their craft up to 40km high, but my crafts simply can't go fast enough at an altitude above 25 KM, because i have a paranoidal strong feeling of a flameout, and that's the very reason why i tune my engines down just a little bit and in about a minute my plane can't climb really well and tends to go a bit sideways and tip down untill it has enough lift and speed. That's about the time when i switch the engine mode, and end up at an apoapsis of 72-91 km, with the trajectory ark hugging about half of the kerbin AT BEST. Also i always have quite a lot of jet fuel to spare. I really need some help and advice about proportions of rocket/jet fuel per sabre, or any other advices. Maybe for such a rookies as me would be more effective using 2 engine types? Also, a little note: designing a cargo plane, the size is quite good. About as half as Strugatsky, maybe wings a bit shorter, and all in all a bit shorter. The goal is carry at least 1 jumbo tank into orbit. Quite successfully climbs throughout the atmosphere with a jumbo(36 tons) in it's belly untill 25-26 km, but getting into the orbit is the problem... It is armed with 4 Sabre-M's, and 2 additional jet engines which i added in my desperate quest for TEH SPESS. Also, it can't lift off earlier than the runway's end. Here's the screenie of the plane itself: Pretty ugly, duh... Still, flies more than fine.

Since i'm a huge fan of W40K universe, could you tell me how huge is it going to be? If it won't be 1:1 I'm going to be very, veeery disappointed. -
[suggestion]Steampunk re-texture of vanilla parts
Plymouth replied to Plymouth's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I'm frankly sorry for posting a thread into the wrong forum. Mods, could you please send it to "suggestions" forum and delete this message? -
Hey there, KSP modding community. I remember long time ago when KSP used to be 0.10 there was a steampunk texturepack, but it exists no longer. I do not know how to texture parts which have no texture file, and, i'm not THAT good at texturing things. So i ask you please, if you would be able to make a texture pack which includes wood, brass, a lot of brass, some golden paint and pretty shiney bolts, i would be delighted, and i guess not only me. With respect Plymouth.

So, those must be their space ships and bases, disguised as rocks, an the aliens itself perhaps are 1/10 milimiter high, and thousands of them can fit into one stone. Kinda funny, but you never know.

Jeb's RL, even harder to scare, namesake Jeb Corliss
Plymouth replied to Motorsheep's topic in The Lounge
that\'s freaking insane. I\'ve seen another guy in such suit jumped out of the plane, but he had 2 tiny jet-enginies strapped to his legs. His max speed was 342 km/h, if he\'d flown faster- his suid would tear apart leaving him falling into the pit of no return. Some crazy things going on out there. -
so i\'ve just taken a beautiful picture, but it\'s kinda Munrise, not a kerbrise but anyway... I don\'t want to create a new topic and start another challenge(i don\'t really like challenges), so i\'ll post it here:
-
Two liveable planets in one system?That\'s just too boring, and donut form of the planet could just create a gravity hole, just like travelling through the sun glitch. That\'s why that\'s a really silly idea.
-
Now that\'s why we need cables for! To prevent kerbonauts flying away from the spacecraft during the EVA. And if you find the way how to drag them back with cables, this is gonna be kind of sucessfull EVA.

Final touchdown of Mun landing
Plymouth replied to Switchblade88's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Well, my landers survived an impact with kerbin on 30 m/s. I was really impressed, cause my chute got torn, and i had really low fuel, i managed to slow down it to 15 m/s, but during last 100-50 meters started to gain speed. -
Well, you know that in KSP, unlike The Orbiter, you can fly to the mun without clean planning, just improvising, and still you can land and return sucessfully. I think it\'s gonna be the same thing with mars(or how will it be called) in KSP. You just have to get a nice orbit, and land, with a little bit of luck and skills. So, in orbiter you had to count every second to land perfectly, unlike the KSP, when you can save the crew just in 1 km before crashing into the ground.

Missile launch testing: This rocket looks much more like my Dnepr-1 replica... But anyway this rocket is a beast 8)
-
Just place some Lander Legs, and it\'ll be stable enough.
-
Of course it can fly 8)

So, i\'m proud to present the Dnepr-1 replica(One meter smaller in diameter than original) rocket! It was named after the Dnepr River in Ukraine(by the way i\'m Ukranian, and i live in Dnepropetrovsk, and this rocket was actually built in Dnepropetrovsk.)Dnepr-1 rocket was designed for lifting small payloads into Circular and elliptical orbits of the earth. Here\'re some pics: And as a bonus, here\'s one hilarious screenshot, this thing has never happened to me before: I\'ve orbited kerbin 7 or so times, but this enginie was still so close... You can see that Bob got paranoyed
