  1. He's nearly defeated, FIRE ALL REP CANNONS!
  2. Yes, but General Discussion has so much more people constantly viewing it. Plus, I think that the mods actually moved it here anyways.
  3. I got some advice from reddit, stating to take it slow, get to know each other, go places and do fun things, and then actually ask the person out and step it up a notch after that, such as dinners, meeting each others' families, etc. Basically, relax and have fun, and if it doesn't work out, it isn't the end of the world. I'm going to ask a girl I've known since we were kids if she wants to go see a musical movie (she loves musicals (and movies)) in a few days. Will report back in a week or two with results. Wish me luck! Disclaimer: Never dated before, trusting reddit and instincts.
  4. Here's a great thread on how to build a plane, comes with a ton of simple pictures and explains how to build them quite well. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/52080-Basic-Aircraft-Design-Explained-Simply-With-Pictures
  5. GAH! You're right, it's suppose to be retrograde! My mistake, sorry for not noticing. Changing to answered. And thanks, sal!
  6. Hello, I'm having problems with finishing a satellite contract. I accepted the contract, built and launched a probe with the antenna and power specifications, and I held the orbit for over 10 seconds, but I still cannot complete the contract. For some reason, the game believes that I did not "reach the designated equatorial orbit around Kerbin within reasonable deviation". The thing is, I did. I came within 100 meters of the required orbital specifications. I even had my apoapsis and periapsis matched up with the contract one on-screen. My inclination was also as close as I could get it. What am I doing wrong here? Save File: https://www./folder/3l9g2dxi6mb4j/Jeb's_Space_Program
  7. The Binding of Issac: Rebirth. Absolutely love the original. Rebirth runs smooth as silk compared to original, plus, rebindable keys and better graphics
  8. When your altitude starts going negative, the camera is forced to look straight down at your craft the deeper you go. Plus, if the camera passes the "sea level" altitude point, everything goes pitch black and it becomes impossible to see anything unless you zoom out and watch your craft from above 0m. Is there a fix for this out there?
  9. If you're looking for an achievements list, go ahead and get creative and start naming off a few things you haven't done before, and gradually step it up from there. For example, something like: 1. Get into orbit. 2. Get into Mun orbit. 3. Land on Mun. 4. Land on Duna. 5. Return from Duna. 6. Land and return from Dres. 7. Go visit the Joolian system. Land on a few moons and return. 8. Land on Eeloo and return. 9. Land on Moho and return. 10. Land on Eve and return. 11. Do the Jool-5 challenge. 12. Grand tour of the system. 13. "Land" on Jool and return. 14. Land on Kerbol and return (good luck with this one!) 15. ??? Yeah, so just start with the basics, and work up from there. Reach out farther and farther at your own pace.
  10. Hello, and welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay! And congrats on already being able to get into orbit, it seems like you're really starting to grasp the game quite well. (And if you land on the Mun for the first time or something significant like that, take some screenshots and head over to the KSP Reddit page and show us your progress, if you wish. We love that sort of stuff!)
  11. I really like just going on insane missions with no Delta-V charts or autopilots and seeing if the ship will make it there in one piece and back. It's nice to go pure stock once in a while
  12. I'd have to say that a Jool-5 mission is a lot more difficult than an Eve and back mission. A Jool-5 mission is restricted to one massive mission with a mothership and smaller ships attached to it (correct me if I'm wrong) that have to land and return from 5 separate moons. Eve, however, is just one big purple fluff, and it's easier to make a there-and-back ship since it's not as far away and that it's just one body to land and return from, not five.
  13. This actually took place close to where I live. Sadly, I didn't even know that this was going on, and only found out about it after seeing it on national news. I definitely would have gone if I had known!
  14. Does the ship you're following have a probe core or command pod? If not, then it's automatically labeled as Debris. To see debris, take your mouse and move it to the center of the very top of the screen while in Map view, and something with a few buttons with labels with appear. Click on the label to the far left labeled "Debris" (it looks like a fuel tank), and then Debris will be visible in Map view. If you do have a probe core or command module on your ship, right click it and click something like "Change Name". It'll give you the option to change the name of your craft and the label you want for it when in Map mode. I'd provide pictures if I wasn't on mobile currently, sorry. Edit: Ninja'd! Darn you touchscreen keypad!
  15. Make a stock-only KSP, and then see what your framerate is with and without the UI. It may just be the mods. I get the same FPS with or without stock UI, but then again, different problems for different machines, yeah know? EDIT: After figuring out if the mods are the main problem or not, start eliminating one mod at a time (maybe mods that have a bunch of UIs first?). It'd probably be tedious, but worth it in end if you're in search of better FPS.
  16. Bart certainly is, though.
  17. Given: 1 cookie, 1 hug, moar boosters (Quest Item). Respond? Y/N Y You have selected "Y" for "No". Are you sure? Y/N NNNNNN You have activated self-destruct sequence. T-15 seconds. Abort now? Y/N Y !!! You have selected "Y" for "Immediate self-destruct". Are you sure? Y/N ... Stalemate detected. Stalemate resolution button not found. Do you wish to thank OP for his kind words since you're not blowing up? Y/N Y Thx OP, for the kind words and all. Yes, I must agree, this community is great and I've never been in a more forgiving or kind one. May this community live long and prosper.
  18. I honestly cannot find the huge, square fuel tanks, cargo bays, or engines. EDIT: I take that back, I put the folders in the KSP gamedata wrong. Everything is there.
  19. First question! Are the pairs of decouplers firing in the same stage? Second question! Are the boosters correctly placed on the decouplers to allow them to decouple?
  20. A "Press F to pay respects" action to commemorate the death of a kerbal would be a hilarious option, in my opinion.
  21. mythbusters844 contains 3 numbers and 11 letters. 3-11=-8 His signature contains a train. The train is black. Black? Black Rider. Black Rider? Devil. South Park has the devil as a character.
