  1. http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/2326 They're actually very tiny and produce very little drag...or, at least they should be very tiny and still be there upon quickload. EDIT: In the bug report, Claw links to a forum thread where sal_vager apparently confirms this to be an easter egg. However, the thread is no longer view-able for some reason :l EDITEDIT: Oh, sager was being sarcastic/funny? Well, I still like to think that those minichutes are hilarious, even if they mess up a mission.
  2. Hmm, very strange indeed. I'm commenting in hopes that a mod sees this and knows what to do. Other than that, all that I can say is good luck, and try looking at this issues thread if you haven't already. That might contain a solution.
  3. Thanks Kramer and Claw, I honestly had no idea that radial decouplers worked that way. I also was able to complete the LV-R1 contracts that were giving me trouble earlier. Marked at Solved
  4. Yeah, I'm surprised that no-one else has posted a thread like this yet. I'm currently reinstalling a clean 0.25 KSP to see if that was the problem. I'll start a new save and see if they still allow fuel crossfeed (my "old" saves are saved on the desktop ) EDIT: Nope, the radial decouplers still allow fuel crossfeed in my clean install. Hopefully this bug will be fixed in a patch soon.
  5. I, too, must report that Jebediah has floated up off of the ladder outside of the atmosphere when in a suborbital trajectory still going up to apoapsis, which was at ~150km. Very weird.
  6. When using radial decouplers to test two ant engines with two contracts, I noticed something peculiar. When I activated the first ant engine, it actually took fuel from my center tank, which shouldn't be happening. For some reason, all three radial decouplers now allow fuel crossfeed for me. I did not see anything like this in the changelog, so I guess it's a bug. The stack douplers, though, still work as intended. They do not allow fuel flow. Might I also add that I have tried every way to complete the contracts for the ant engines, but the contracts do not get fulfilled even though I activate them with all requirements met. I'm running a completely stock 32-bit 0.25 Steam version, auto-updated by Steam from 0.24.2, with two new saves, on Windows 8. Here is the career save:https://www./folder/crfgyd3yb2keh/Career_Moderate And the output_log file (near the end should be what you're looking for if there are any errors. I quit KSP after taking screenshots of the radial decouplers' info):http://www./view/thf19z4913fgqpo/output_log.txt And a second, shorter output_log file after starting KSP again to take a screenshot of the ant engine in action:http://www./view/bgp1fiwjm7pbzja/output_log(2).txt IN 0.25 CAREER: | | | IN 0.25 SANDBOX: | | | 0.25 CAREER MUN FLYBY IN ACTION:(The second engine isn't firing yet because I'm saving it to test it in orbit)
  7. Alright people, 0.25 is out, so go enjoy the new update. Also, it's possible that the magic boulder may have returned, according to the Squadcast, so if you happen to be around Duna...check out Ike! Easter egg hunting, whoo! Also, see if you can blow up any easter eggs or the island runway!
  8. Got 'em. In the spoiler are just a few easter egg names along with the distances that they disappear. KSC ~ 50km, Island Runway ~ 275km, KSC 2 ~ 40km, Pyramids ~ 60km, Kerbin UFO ~ 8km, Vallhenge ~ 15-20km, Kraken ~ 10km Looks like you'll have fun finding it. Bop's pretty small, but still, you only have a 10km radius in which you can see the easter egg.
  9. From my experience, it appears as if all easter eggs have their own render distances. I know that I can see the island runway on Kerbin from at least a 70km orbit, but I've had loads of trouble seeing, for example, the Vall stonehenge from low orbit. EDIT: This is a very good question to be asking. I'll hyperedit some crafts near some easter eggs and fly straight up until they disappear. I'll report back with results!
  10. I'm gonna say Vall, but it was a real tough call. I like Vall because of the transitions from soaring peaks to relatively flat plains. Plus, it has a nice soft blue-white color, and a neat easter egg. It's also a kind of eerie moon, in my opinion.
  11. That would be pretty cool to have hidden runways scattered across Kerbin, and the only way to unlock them is to land on them.
  12. Once again, timewarp comes into play here. I could timewarp, leave for the day, and then come back home and be swimming in Funds without ever doing anything. And I think that bankruptcy should be possible in KSP - Squad wanted to make it tycoon-y, right?
  13. May I suggest, and this is entirely up to you, to share your save file with all of the flags next to the easter eggs?
  14. Easter eggs that small are usually very hard to pinpoint coords to and are hard to find, considering how large of areas you have to search. Continue to look, I'll hyperedit a rover to the coords given and scout around for it. EDIT: I must say after about an hour of looking on high terrain detail I could not find it. I triple checked my coordinates and they're correct.
  15. Wo'h, cool! Now everytime before I exit KSP, I'll just leave a ship on the launchpad for a quick starting launch! Thanks for that small but awesome feature!
  16. Short story is that I was able to transfer my KSP Store purchase to a Steam key. The quirk is that I bought KSP on December 12th, 2013, but the game released on Steam on March 20th, 2013 (you're not supposed to be able to transfer from Store to Steam if you bought it after it came out on Steam). I'm perplexed as to why the KSP Store allowed this. I'm downloading KSP through Steam to my desktop as I type this! Now I shall know how much MORE time I sink into this game!
  17. Oh god, you've made a similar thread to the previous "Realism" thread that was locked shortly ago, there's no helping you now.
  18. I have the same problem, fellow kerbonaut. Heck, I placed it in my signature because of how bad it is. In reality I get, on average, 150-200kb/s down.
  19. Seeing as though I sent this in a message to M1ke and haven't gotten a reply back yet, I'll post the message here, in hopes he sees it. It is about a tiny parachute easter egg, and I wish to have it added to this thread. "Hiya Malfunction. Just ran into this easter egg from a comment by ksheep in a post in the KSP sub-reddit. Here is the post in question: http://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/2foa1y/vanilla_i_crashed_into_kerbin_at_50kms_my/ Here's the "bug" report: http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/2326 Turns out that it's an easter egg (confirmed by val_sager in a forum post about this supposed bug): http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74760-Parachute-bug I can confirm that it exists in 0.24.2. All I did was send a pod with the small parachute, reach a height were I could semi-deploy it, deployed it, quicksaved, and then quickloaded. Here are a couple of screenshots: http://imgur.com/f1dZHgd and http://imgur.com/1PdTLhw. I hope that you add this easter egg to your thread. I'm surprised that this isn't a well-known easter egg. Then again, how many people would quicksave with their parachutes semi-deployed, and then need to reload the quicksave?" For some reason I am unable to view the forum thread about this easter egg now :l. But at least this is a very simple easter egg that anyone could produce themself. EDIT: If val_sager comes across this post, could you confirm that it's an easter egg again for sufficient proof, if you wish?
  20. Could you tell us what CPU and GPU you have? I also suggest to just turn down the Atmospheric Effects under settings as low as they go.
  21. Is there any way to confirm or deny that we've found all of the easter eggs? 'cause if there aren't any more, I don't wanna go wasting my time flying around the solar system looking for more.
  22. Is this close enough to what you're thinking about?: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/81981-0-24-2-GlowStrips-v0-4-2 "ACTUAL MOD DESCRIPTION: Includes four varieties of GlowStrips in different sizes (1m, 2m, 4m, and 6m long), and a new, thin, adaptive-length GlowStrip. GlowStrips use Emissives rather than Lighting and so won’t light up the parts around them. That way, they can give your ships a unique look and visually recognizable signature as they drift through space, without illuminating the entire body of the craft. This keeps your lines sleek with none of KSP’s funny business with surface lighting."
  23. Aw man, that monolith has been there for a long while...I can't remember which version it was added in, it's that old.
  24. Holy crap, how did some of those potatoroids end up so far out away from Kerbin?!
