  1. You're awesome RoverDude And so are your mods of course
  2. Thanks for the quick (faster than I even checked for one ) fix. Love the mod, it's really helped fill up my science logs.
  3. Not a huge deal by any stretch of the imagination, but the version checker lists this mod as "MKS". Would it be possible to have it changed so that it is like "Warp Drive" or something? I saw two MKS in my version checker at startup and it confused me slightly at first and I thought I might have somehow installed the MKS mod twice or something. Thanks!
  4. Wow I can't believe I didn't try that...I knew it would be something very derp-worthy! Thank you muchly
  5. What the thread title says. I can't seem to find a way to do this. Hopefully someone will chime in with some obvious thing that I missed and I'll feel silly
  6. Found a bug. If you select "use Blizzy's toolbar" the icon in the app launcher does not disappear. If you then uncheck to use the toolbar it creates ANOTHER icon in the app launcher (so there are then two). Every time to check and uncheck to use Blizzy's toolbar this happens, which (as you may have guessed) can really bug out the stock app launcher.
  7. I went ahead and took the liberty of packaging up the configs to disable ATM for KerbinSide and KK. You can get the files here on dropbox. Just unzip and drag the BoulderCo folder into your KSP GameData and say yes when asked to merge. @AlphaAsh, if you don't approve of this let me know and I shall edit my post.
  8. I had thought about that but (as far as I know) you can't disable auto-update completely and the game will still start an update when you go to launch. EDIT: I'm an idiot! I totally forgot about the "launch options" that Steam has. If you paste the location of your modded KSP into the set launch options of steam in quotes, followed by %command% it will launch KSP from a location other than SteamApps and still keep track of your play time. Ex: "D:\Kerbal Space Program v0.25\KSP.exe" %command% There doesn't seem to be any adverse effects as far as I can tell (aside from a slightly longer startup time).
  9. Hello fellow KSPers. I have been playing KSP on steam since last year and have been keeping my modded KSP installs on a separate HDD (so that updates do not break them). However, this causes Steam to not track my time played on any modded installs. I know this is a fairly trivial for some people, but I see my play time as a sort of "badge of honor" for myself. What I want to know is, is there any way to keep my vanilla copy in the steam folder (for updating purposes) but also have Steam track the play time from my modded copy of KSP? I know I could switch the folders in and out of the SteamApps folder, but that creates a new problem when there is an update and can bork my modded installs (thank you Steam auto-update ). If anyone knows of any solutions that would be much appreciated
  10. OMG it's FIXED! From the moment the Squad logo appears, to the main menu appearing only took 1 minute 20 seconds and that's with about 20 different mods (including B9, KW, Infernal Robotics, KAS, and Interstellar). I'm assuming it was caused by Hamachi, but my network adapter (the only one I have) was showing it was connected to two networks. One was my actual network, but the other was some "unidentified" public network. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of the second one. So I uninstalled the driver for the network adapter from Device Manager (I made sure to leave the driver files on the computer though). Then I checked for hardware updates, the drivers were reinstalled and BAM, no more ghost network. To the OP: Try disabling all your network adapter except the one you need for internet. Then uninstall the drivers for that one and reinstall them. IF you have the same problem I did this should fix it and your KSP will be loading at warp speed Thanks to everyone for all the help and being patient and thanks to OP for starting this topic, I hope you can solve your issue.
  11. Yes I've rebooted several times since uninstalling Hamachi. Not sure exactly what I would be looking for, I don't have StarForce (that I know of). I have noticed that sounds in particular seem to take the longest to load, or is that normal?
  12. Not sure about MuadDib, but I defrag both HDDs and run scans once a week. Also, I don't see any log file with timestamps, where would one look for that? Hopefully MuadDib revisits this thread, because there has to be some sort of common denominator between us. It sounds like I'm experiencing exactly the same thing.
  13. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I wanted to say that I am also experiencing this problem. My game doesn't load as slow as 10+ minutes, but it definitely seems to be loading a lot slower than the last time I played the game(which was when they first released the science stuff); and back then I was playing with a fairly large number of mods (all the ones being used in Scott Manley's Interstellar Quest). I've tried using 64-bit, 32-bit, tried a fresh install, tried a fresh install with no mods, and even uninstalled Hamachi. The game still takes several minutes to load even though. For what its worth, my PC specs: i5 2500k CPU (OC to 4.5 ghz) GTX 670 2GB 8 GB RAM 1TB HD (which my OS is on) and 320 GB HDD (which KSP is on) I am also using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus.
