  1. A lot of people seem to have gotten off at the pre-release station. There's plenty of space
  2. If there are, I haven't seen/heard any FULL SPEED AHEAD!
  3. For the pre-release, here. Make sure to read the wiki page (link is along the top bar of that page) before posting a report though.
  4. I know that; my point was, hypothetically, if you did require official sanction in multiple countries for a trademark, it would probably be enough to just get it registered in the US, since most of the developed world has a tonne of treaties with them for legal stuff.
  5. Well, true, but in fairness it would probably be enough to do it in the US if that were the case.
  6. Looks like 'Kerbal' is indeed trademarked, but apparently only in Mexico. Similar government websites for the US and UK don't return any results . Not sure if it matters where it's registered though
  7. It is easier playing it yourself - YouTube tends to darken videos quite a bit - especially with thin stuff on a dark background, Twitch seems to do the same; just an artifact of the compression I guess. It would be nice if it was a little brighter but it works EDIT: screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/J2jpzWA.png Make sure to view it at full res (1600x900)
  8. .... You realize that's an entirely different user, right?
  9. That was my "original" post, at least as far as this particular conversation goes.
  10. Well, my point was we didn't necessarily need to get the information from squad to get a rough idea of the proportions of each group, and that the data seems to support the claim that the steam group is bigger..... which should be clear from the quote I was replying to, but never mind. As to what @322997am's point was in making the claim? If i were to guess, they were trying to give an explanation for squad's decision.
  11. Aww . Oh well.... we still have all the other cool features :D.
  12. Well, KSP has more than a million steam users (and that's old data - it was on steamspy until squad removed it about a year ago). Seems unlikely the store servers would be able to handle 10% of that on a typical release cycle, though I guess it's not impossible. EDIT: some statistics for visits to ksp's website. if you consider each person that buys the game will make many visits to that particular domain, and that many people who have bought the game via the store have since transferred to steam (this includes me and several people I know), that would seem to suggest the steam group is far larger than the store group, though apparently less active on the forums.
  13. O.O without docking ports too? I had not noticed this... WOOO!!! HYPE!!!
  14. Only happened once for me so far, testing someone's crazy clipped rocket that could destroy Kerbin. That was cool
  15. That's not a hype rocket. THIS is a hype rocket (infinite fuel cheat, though - using it to test a bug, found another 2 bugs while looking for that one. lol):
  16. Personally, playing testing the pre-release, submitting bug reports, and every once in a while trying to keep the hype train alive PRE-RELEASE HYPE!
  17. See the General Information thread pinned at the top of the forum index.
  18. A few, like KER apparently. IMHO it's better to avoid mods for the pre-release though, since it'll be harder to determine whether a bug was caused by stock or by a mod.
  19. Quite a few steam games, including KSP, don't require the steam client to even be installed to play the game if it's sitting somewhere on your hard drive. EDIT: However, some steam games - notably pretty much any AAA games - DO require steam to be running.
