  1. Looks great! But agreed, give us some more shots!
  2. I like the craft! Pleasing to look at, certainly. I'm always torn with the too many air intakes deal...just irks me for some reason. BUT, it's your craft, and as you say, it gets it hiiiiiiigh! Seriously, 40,000+ is REAL high!
  3. I like to use some outside game tools and charts when I'm not completely doing my own math (which is fun too!). Maybe these will help some more people in some of their designs! Delta-V (though mostly I calculate without this anymore) http://www.kerbalspacecalculator.net16.net/stageDVCalc.html Graphing Calculator Online...SO useful! https://www.desmos.com/calculator Usually I only get into these when something presents a particular challenge and I just can't get it to work with whatever method I had been trying. It can be a lot of fun this way though. Makes me feel more sciencey...
  4. You hit it on the head! There are many times one must compromise in KSP design. You think of some grand idea, get to building it...then realize all the parts you thought would make sense for that just don't... It all ends up being a matter of parts. It's why I used to just mod parts. I may get back into it. No skinning or modeling, just part editing. P.S.: Wicked craft!
  5. I like it! That looks like a fun craft, and pleasing to look at.
  6. I only end up sketching when I have free time BUT cannot get to KSP itself. Otherwise, my process is thus: -Get inspired by a mission idea -Decide what will get me there -Put together the payload I want to bring wherever. -Add on how much fuel I know I will need to do that with engines that have good enough Isp and thrust (dV and what have you) -Add fuel and thrust to get it off of Kerbin I actually inadvertently outlined my whole deal in a video I made to teach about Thrust-to-Weight-Ratio, now that I think about it...
  7. This was pretty awesome! Good job, great ingenuity!
  8. A beautiful craft! Looks like it handles real well.
  9. A beautiful station indeed! Lots of functionality, and more power than any station will ever need! I like!
  10. Haha, give yourself more credit! I'm sure you can do it. A Concorde was one of the first things I wanted to do...maybe I'll do one for 0.22.
  11. Greetings Kerbonauts! Guz from Guzworks here, wanted to drop in and post a little bit about what I'm currently working on. Guzworks, a subsidiary of Xion Corp., is proud to present the latest and greatest in deep space utility vessels. Kerbals and Kerbettes, I present to you, the Odysseus Class Deep Space Salvage and Rescue Frigate! Specifications: Class: Odysseus Hull: Frigate Role: Deep Space Salvage and Exploration Mass: 85.26t (Full) Fuel: 45t (Liquid+Oxidizer), 3t (Monopropellant) Crew: Max 5, Min 1 Passengers: 8 Impact: 700 kN Impulse (4x Toroidal Aerospike), 240 kN Interplanetary (4x LV-N) DeltaV: 5800 m/s Interplanetary (4x LV-N), 2870 m/s Impulse (4x Toroidal Aerospike) Docking: 4x Clamp-o-Tron, 4x Clamp-o-Tron Jr., 1x Clamp-o-Tron Sr. Power: 4x RTG (180 e/min), 8x Photovoltaic Panels (2x3) (16 e/s), 1x Z4000 Battery (4000 e) Features: Abort System - Specially placed decouplers can be activated in the abort sequence. All manned sections of the craft are decoupled and pushed away from the remaining hull and/or wreck for Kerbals to await rescue safely. Astro Droids - Although they take up a Clamp-o-Tron and a Clamp-o-Tron Jr., two Astro Droids stand ready to maneuver into hazardous zones, pick up pieces, and dock them back with the main vessel. Search and Docking Lights - Lights are placed at the front view Cuppola Module for wreck search capabilities. Lights at the Clamp-o-Trons making docking easier, and also help to light the ship in the darkness of space. Xenon Containers - The vessel can rescue probes, satellites, and other vessels using Xenon for fuel, refuel and power them, and send them on their way. Here is a video featuring the craft before my upcoming series with it. Proof of flight is first, followed by some commentary on the ship and some nice views of it in orbit. Lastly, here is the craft file for it, complete with a launch stage! (Be careful with it...I've had a number of crashes. But it DOES have the umph to get into orbit) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9743897/KSP/Odysseus%20Class%20DSSR%20Frigate.craft
