[Collection] Silisko Industries - BACE 0.3(1) released! [April 28]
Shedao replied to NovaSilisko's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That would make all my studying completely impossible. Please do it anyway ;P -
Some interesting facts about the development of the A-4: Total costs were about 2 milliard Reichsmark (is there some proper way to translate this? ??? ) This is the money you need for 2700 Tiger Panzer or 8000 Messerschmidt 109g or 10 Bismarck-class battleships. Also 70000 people worked for the A-4 in full-time jobs. Imagine what could have been done when all these resources were spent elsewhere in the military! The war would have lasted longer and would have taken far more than the ~20000-30000 victims from the A-4 (in a horrible irony most victims were forced laborers in the production of the rocket). It is incredibly sad but we can be lucky that the Nazis invented this rocket... PS: It took me a long time to write this as english is not my first language and I hope it doesn\'t sound pro-Nazi in any way.

0.15 will feature docking and additional navigation tools so I\'m really curious how Harv can benefit from all the work you and the other autopilot-plugin-makers do. In every way, keep on the good work

General Discussion

Short and simple: Yes! Before Mechjeb made this possible, I planned to capture my rover in Kerbin orbit and take it down to the Mun. You can imagine that this would never work.

[Collection] Silisko Industries - BACE 0.3(1) released! [April 28]

How is the ion engine working? Do we get an extra fuel module and a minimum number of solar panels per engine? I would love an engine that takes really long to accelerate (thrust ~ 1) but makes you need less weight for fuel. -
Yes, als long as there is a Mechjeb on it. You only have to detach it, go to the Tracking Station and there will be a new 'Your Ship Debris'. Click on it and you can actually fly/drive it.

Mission goal: Collecting some samples from the munar surface and return them to Kerbin. Requirements: - Rocket that can carry some mass to the Mun - Landerstage with upper Returnstage - Rover with (Mechjeb)remote control - actual probe container and rocks on the Mun.... perhaps in version 2 =P Some pictures from the mission: Nightly start: Arrived in high Munar orbit and detaching the Landerstage: After a perfect landing uncountable attempts to land this thing safely...: So far away...: Parked under the lander without accident: Bye, bye! They are home...: Finally managed to get enough time together for this 'complete mission' and it was fun! Thanks for all the great plugins. The quick progress is just awesome. Didn\'t thought multiple command modules were possible. Here is the list for all needed parts: - MechJeb - dodADA - obviously the cart - Ascent autopilot - Probodobodyne - Novapunch

Is the system limited to the antenna and RTG or can we attach everything? =P If yes, this system will get instantly abused and source of endless fun. Perhaps you think of Transformers... No! Think of the Megamaid: -
[Challenge] Can you lift this one?
Shedao replied to togfox's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Ok, it\'s done. This baby can lift your craft plus an extra tank and engine. Screens and Craftfile in the attachment. One advice: The ASAS only works with gimballing engines as the LV-T45 so I exchanged your LV-T30 with them. You could also try to add RCS to your lander stage for an easier landing but I think that would make some more solid engines necessary. Have fun with it ;D -

From what your craft look like it should be quite possible to get it in munar orbit without trouble. Don\'t have time at the moment but will try to build something later. Has it to be all stock or are mods allowed? If they are allowed, you could try for yourself with a rocket from this modpackage: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=3684.0 The rockets are prebuild so you have to rebuild your lander but I think that shouldn\'t take too long -

Regarding the acceleration by gravitation: Is it possible to show the current values (calculated from sealevel and altitude) instead of displaying 'NOT ON GROUND' when the ship flies? I imagine a space probe you send to a new asteroid, moon, planet, going into orbit and calculating some stats out of the sensor readings. That would really push the science aspect of the game It would also help determining what amount of thrust is needed to land on a new body. Say you want to land but the sensor gives you a GRAV from which you know that you can\'t land there with your ship and can abort the mission before gravitational pull is too high. -
[0.14] Instant Orbit / Debris Generator with bonus Asteroid
Shedao replied to JellyCubes's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
As far as I understand the saving system your ship has to be on the launchpad. From there you press Esc and get back to the Space Center so your craft remains on the launchpad but is written in the persistance.sfs. Turn on the Orbit Changer (has to lie in the same folder as the persistance.sfs) and type in the name under which you saved your craft in the VAB (so save it before you launch). The name has to be unique because the program can\'t differ between multiple ships with the same name. In the next steps the program asks for the orbital parameters and there you go. -

I\'m in a 'new chapter of KSP' mood and just wanted to thank you Nova for your hard work here (the Mods) and in the community. And because you made a mod dedicated to those of us who love unmanned spaceprobes. -

<- this in bigger and with screaming WOAAAAHHHOWW in slow-motion -
He just deserves it Congratulations!

I had exactly the same plan as Gaby and took an old polluter rocket to get Kerbin a Saturn like ring system. (you can see it in the Multitasker challenge) but on a geostationary orbit. It is interesting to see how fast it can get dangerous in lower orbits.

Favorite Final Fantasy Game (Get out if its above 10)
Shedao replied to Cthulufaic's topic in The Lounge
I go for Final Fantasy IX and yes I really loved the characters. Each one had a story, a background that mattered and together with the classic fighting system, the skill system (which I think was the best in whole FF history) and the epic story it made me play it 3 times and simply love every tiny piece of it. Mmmh second one is very difficult. FFX had a very good story but the world was very linear (don\'t know the right word :-[ ). FFVIII was my first FF so it gets bonus points ;P but yes the skill system was just wrong. Now to FFXII (there is no missing I, I really mean 12): I think the game is far better than it is handled among FF-fans. Don\'t get me wrong, the story and the characters were just boring and the fighting system new and exciting but nothing for all FFs to come. But think of the world. You are free to go everywhere and there are cities and villages with people, little stories and quests. IMHO this had could been the way a future FF could looked like (remember: only the points in the last sentence). The skill-system was also a bit more... FFIX? ;D Don\'t know how to explain but the skill system in these two FFs are my personal favourites as they are some kind of realistic. So where is VII? It is handled as one of the best FFs and I just don\'t get it. Why? I know that this is the first FF for a lot of people, so I ask the ones who are older or played it after VIII and so on. What is the part that makes you love this game more than the other FFs? For me this game was like getting from Monkey Island III to IV. 2D on SNES looked good. Why turning to an ugly 3D engine? Of course graphics are the last important part of FF but it gave me negative points which should be compensated on other parts but where? The story is good but also had some stretched parts... Please explain it to me. I won\'t argue with you, I just want to understand -
Impressive! Tried to rebuild the ISS myself but wasn\'t very satisfied with the result. Also it was the pure hell to fly and breaks into tiny pieces right when I decouple it from the rocket. Please try to get your version into orbit and post how you\'ve done that

I guess Recovery is for refuelling of solid boosters, isn\'t it? Or is it the clone fab? ;P
