The new forum is objectively uglier.

Hope its just my side here, but this is hideous Hope its just my side here, but this is hideous Hope its just my side here, but this is hideous my bad, damn 502s... I see that there is no auto-merge for quick repeated posts. The main page lacks the nice crisp clean edges and borders around the various forum parts, and everythig looks dull and flat. Yup, now we just need to figure out how to post pics and stuff.... Wow.. Looks like we are stuck using one type of font, how is this more functionality?!?!

When will new content for KSP be released?
r4pt0r replied to MedwedianPresident's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The old updates added things like atmospheres, rover wheels, wings, more "base game" content. They cant add the VAB again, or add the heat system again. The game is +90% finished. I'm sure theres a law about diminishing returns in software development somewhere, but I care not enough to google it for you. Not that I dont also desire more planets. its just the game is "finished" sans some polish, and some system tweaks/balances. -

Sometime post new-years, according to their last "Devnote Tuesday" http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/140515-Devnote-Tuesday-Optimistic-Goals >member since 2011 >over 1000 posts >asking for release date information >meme arrows Come now, you surely know they aren't cool with divulging release date info and queries into it are frowned upon. Also, 1.0.5 is still hot from the oven and included a bunch of new stuff bruh, where you been at? Obligatory plug for UpsilonAerospace's music http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88869-KSP-Plugin-Songs!-%28Current-Song-SUN%29 The OP in that thread can only hold 5 linked videos, his latest track, "Sun", is on page 10 I think these tracks should be in the game, once Upsilon finishes all of them.

I build my own RC planes out of pink fanfold insulation. They usually last a dozen or so flights before pilot error gets the best of them. Then I tear out the electronics and slap together another plane. You saying I would need to register each plane I build, even when their average lifespan is a week?
Poopiter
Alright you can either aplogize to Jupiter Optimus Maximus, king of the gods, or you can have have your homeland trampled under the feet of Rome's mighty legions. Your call, bud. realtalk though, you didnt suggest where you would rather them go.

Is using F12 (aerodynamic forces overlay) considered as cheating?
r4pt0r replied to EditorRUS's topic in KSP1 Discussion
KER is not considered cheating
Speak for yourself. 100% stock, clean game for me. And it shall remain unsullied. -
<dusts the dust off the account> Alright folks, I have said this a few times over the years, and I will say it again: If you want to hand do every single bit of minute fussing around while redoing the SAME THING time and time again, more power to you. If autopilot is good enough for NASA for just about every single aspect of every single mission flown since we started flinging monkeys into space, then, believe me when I say, that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with letting mechjeb handle the long burns, the repeated launches of the same rocket launching payload after payload at a station. What it boils down to is this: WHO BLOODY CARES?!? Who bloody cares if one person relies on mechjeb to grab greater enjoyment out of the game? Do you drive a car that has cruise control and do you make regular use of it? if so, YOU ARE CHEATING! You should always use your foot to control the speed of your car every single inch down the road...oh wait, its put there into the vehicle so you dont have to. that bloody simple.
lol :D :sticktongue:
-
If you feel successful after using MechJeb autopilot, you're cheating yourself, not the game.
Thats well said. It's like "Congrats! You turned gameplay into essentially a cutscene, way to go!"
-
How did this thread last 27 pages? Its pretty clear mechjeb is cheating.
The only one throwing anything near a temper tantrum is me. Thats because im just tired of reading the same shtick every update. "OH no dont break my crafts, Oh no will my save be compatible?" Its just... ... Anyway. Yes the game is in a "released status". But why should that mean Squad has to conserve your gamesaves every time? Im confused. How are they supposed to innovate and try new things if they have to keep the old stuff working with it? It just doesn't make sense to me in a progressive standpoint. And even so... why is this a problem? Whats keeping people from just not updating? Finish up what your doing on your current version before you update to the new one why is that so hard? If not then maybe its a bad idea to launch a grand tour mission the day 1.1 goes into experimentals. Also make sure you guys understand this is Kerbal Space Program. A game not like any other. So dont compare KSPs/Squads update process to other companies and their games. Thats just silly. Other devs have a much larger budget and staff. *insert crappy analogy* And besides its not like Squad just springs these updates on us. Infact its quite the opposite. You have months and months to get your stuff in order for an update. We get detailed notes every week on the progress of each update and what, if anything itll be break. No one is in the dark here. Plan accordingly.
Being released they should not break saves. that's just how it is. If you buy a new shooter and after a few days of playing campaign an update forces you to restart, you would rightfully be upset. Perhaps they should not have rushed 1.0 And putting the onus on the consumer(not all of whom browse ksp sites for update info) to back up their saves and relocate their KSP folder, is some form of logical fallacy I am sure. - - - Updated - - - And let me add, that "Squad is different" argument is junk. Its about respecting the consumer.
Do the Kerbals in game ever use the term Kerbal Space Program?
The 2 of the default flags do(and by extension the flagpole at KSC unless you change it).
-
I assume you're referring here to "The Legend of the Titanic: An Animated Classic," where a giant octopus holds the sinking ship up long enough for dolphins and whales to rescue everyone aboard.
This is now on my watch list. I LOVE AWFUL MOVIES. "Birdemic" was great, as was "Rubber".
