  1. Still keep failing at Laythe-And-Back trips. I tested my interplanetary 8+3 crew plane... ...And got the three guys stranded on Laythe with barely enough fuel to make orbit. So I designed a plane specifically for rescuing those goons ;p with less cockpit weight, just one hitchhiker module, no RCS and of-course MOAR fuel: Night landing...darn... And it also failed, It could reach only halfway back to earth, so I travelled back in time with 'F9'. dang it! At least for the 3rd mission I still need no more than 1 hitchhiker module ) Already working on the next one, 3rd time lucky. --- No mods or cheat codes were used here... ;P but maybe I could use one of those info-mods :S
  2. Today I tested my interplanetary 8 passenger plane: And now it's stranded there with barely enough fuel to make orbit So naturally I designed a plane specifically for rescuing those three goons. Lighter cockpit, no RCS, just ONE hitchiker module, and MOAR fuel... Night landing...darn... ...And failed. The 2nd plane could rech only halfway back to Earth so I travelled back in time with [F9]. Now I have 4 goons to rescue and an even bigger plane to build Edit:No mods or cheat codes. Pure stock gameplay ;P
  3. Weltraumlabor: Has 1 Atomic engine, 4 turbojets, 64 concealed ram intakes, and plenty of concealed aerial control surfaces. Looks very cool, gets to the moon and back, other than that, completely useless. xD Also, Spaceplane Mk-III "Astroliner" is right now being tested for it's capabilities. Should be interplanetary. Has 4 turbojets, 64 intakes, one Atomic engine, RCS, and 8 passenger seats. Almost an OK glider. ... Edit: It came out to be a one way trip to laythe, after almost completely depleting the rocket fuel it becomes an amazing glider there! It made a successful landing by going up a hill, so it glides upwards as slow as it can get...
  4. After my 1st successful aeroplane has proven itself... successful, it was time to get more advanced . The Stub-O-Jet: Ahhh... sometimes my geniousness amazes even myself x-D
  5. VERY COOL otherworldly landing legs!
  6. Mind if I barge in...? xP Space Plane Mk-I Has 1 Atomic engine, 4 Turbo jets and 10 Ram intakes. (regular intake in front for looks xD) Gets to Minmus and back. Can also reach duna and stay there. I went to Minmus because my original intention was to land on the flat surfaces in an aeroplane fashion, but didn't take the chance and did a full stop 1 inch above ground and flipped the wheels downwards. Here's that beast of a plane :
  7. My 1st ever successful space-plane. yes, PLANE! and my 1st time landing a plane! This new update rocks! Now that we can empty fuel tanks while in assembly, we can see how the weight centre shifts, and adjust the design accordingly. Also we can now use any fuel tank as a plane tank by emptying the oxidizer, and the relative weight between the fuel and it's tank is about the same as the fuselages! Space Plane Mk-I Has one atomic engine, 4 turbo jets, 10 ram intakes. Capable of landing on Minmus. It's low gravity allows a full stop 1 inch above surface, and then a flip to land on the wheels. Can also reach Duna, and stay there. Also, Airhog Lifter Mk-II prototype, gets above atmospere on jets alone, and puts a full orange tank there. I aint done with VTVL rockets just yet xP
  8. @Geschosskopf Thanks buddy ) Oh yes, those "new" plane tanks rock the house! By the way... that plane is now a SSTO.
  9. Today for the 1st time I made a good aeroplane & for the 1st time I've landed one! Thanks to the new update, we can now see how emptying fuel tanks shift weight centre, and any fuel tank can be used as a plane tank by emptying the oxidizer. One might think that, even if you empty the oxidizer from the rocket tank, it still might be too heavy, but no! not at all! The relative weight is about the same as the plane fuselages! So here's my Freakishly AWESOME aeroplane :
  10. Jet-1 Just conducting a rescue mission to the moon, where a three-man lander didn't have anywhere near enough fuel to get home... x-( Edit: No mods or cheat codes were used here... ;o)
  11. Airhog Lifter Mk-I: Gets above atmosphere on jets alone. 100% reusable! Launching a mini-apollo spacecraft.
  12. 1) All flights are manned. What's the point of conducting a space program if no one gets to space... xP 2) Space crafts must never be crappily designed. 3) SSTO must get above atmosphere on jets alone.
  13. The one on the last pic aint going nowhere until I get myself a new comp. If I aerobrake that thing my game will probably work at 1 frame per minute }: [
  14. I made a lander. It has proven itself pretty successful, it lands and takes off from small planets.
  15. A little part of my badly planned but successfully completed round trip to Gilly.
  16. Airhog MK-II Capable of a Mun or Minmus round trip. If I would have been careful and haven't forgotten to bring parachutes with me, I could've made a Duna round trip. In this case it's a one way trip and the pilot awaits rescue in Duna orbit... Your new home, buddy! Nope! This is as far as you'll get this time... This later led to the development of the Airhog Mk-II Crew Shuttle:
  17. That lander looks great! It's nice conducting an Apollo mission every now and then... xP
  18. A ship I made quite a while before I learned how to fly properly. Here it goes on a Gilly expedition: (The big rocket was the middle section of the lifter, which had six more of them around it) They got home in the end...
