  1. What it means is that unless you are playing something where it can be considered a competition with another player if you use something which gives you a plain advantage over the other player it is considered cheating. However, playing a single-player game where you have complete freedom over what you can do, if you PERSONALLY find enjoyment in messing around with cheats and blowing &$@% up then there is NOTHING wrong with that and anyone that tries to yell at you about it is most likely in the wrong. For example, if I personally find more enjoyment in NOT DOING THE EXACT SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN MANUALLY but letting Mechjeb do it that is MY opinion and MY choice and not YOURS(Not directed at anyone).
  2. The way installation works for ANY mod or plugin is: Drag part folders into the Parts folder which is in the KSP_win folder. Drag plugin files(Not source code, incase you downloaded that) into the plugin folder which is in the KSP_win folder. Hope this helps.

Soundtrack Playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1C955DE95BFAAD91 Devs\' Log James\' Notes - 7/29/12 - 16:09 - Why make a movie? Well we\'ve been thinking about making a KSP based movie for a long time now, even back to reboot RP. What with Radion\'s Great Munar War and all the things that were going on, it would\'ve been a great time to make an RP based movie. However, when RP was shutdown, we all kinda went our own way and lost interest. A few months later, however, we all watched the 'KSP War' video on youtube, and it gave me an idea. Instead of moving every individual craft to it\'s location, why don\'t I just use some fancy editing and EDIT IN a whole army? So I messed around with the idea, posted a sole video demonstrating this, and the project began. So, why the Touhou music? - Well, on TehLazyPirates I had a newfound love for Touhou, and even did a Let\'s Play Subterranean Animisim with Misterspork on it. With the wide variety of music and every possible genre to choose from, I thought it\'d be a great idea to do a Touhou exclusive soundtrack! Other than that, I have no idea. The soundtrack\'s amazing though, I\'ll link the song\'s we\'ve chosen in a non-spoiler fasion at a later date. Also the 3 minute trailer is all you\'re getting for now. It should be enough anyways James\' Notes -7/29/12 - 21:28 - /sighofrelief I can\'t tell you how worried I was when I read - 'Please take note that normal recordings of gameplay is not considered Fan-works, it must be original content.' Good thing i read around some more and saw - 'Gameplay, when used in a manner to tell a story or when containing forms of editing is permitted' -phew EDIT - Status Update! About 10 more minutes of raw footage filmed! I mean, just LOOK at this! Editing tomorrow, because today we celebrate the public release of the trailer by not doing anything at all. James\' Notes -7/30/12 - 17:03 - Another 8 minutes done! Welp, finally edited the battle. It was very VERY time consuming. Screenshots - We are now at 30 Minutes of footage and 80% of our goals! 4. Come on, why does this keep popping up? NOW, let me end this by saying: There are 3 types of Kerbonauts, those who like to fly, those who run Mission Control, and there are those that can read the tide of the velocity vectors. Essentially, some of us find the achievement in the CONSTRUCTION of the perfect machine, not finding achievement through avoiding pilot error. Others I am sure prefer flying their not-so-perfect machine, but I and others who use Mechjeb personally do not. So please, let\'s not bring this topic up again. All it leads to is nonsensical argument.
  5. Erm.... The HQ exploded when I drove my rover up to it... On the pad Lander, landed Rover deployed DERP(That was the original lander) Good view of errythang
  6. Erm, I know we restarted, but doughbred, you can\'t respond to a broken computer with another computer.
  7. Watch for more, this is still a work in progress so expect further chapters and improvements in the coming weeks.
  8. Oh crap! I just got on, and I will probably not be able to get this done tonight. I\'ll try it, but don\'t count on it. Don\'t push me down yet though.
  9. We never really went off topic... And also: Which means he can\'t use that method. But this was already solved by Kreuzung.
  10. Man Conquers Space Sizzle Reel 2010 This is what amounts to what might have happened if NASA or it\'s equivalent received full funding by the government since the start of the space program. Colonies on the moon, giant rotating permanent stations, and even more. This is inspiring, and mildly depressing, as it is sad that this history isn\'t the real history, because the government thought NASA wasn\'t worth funding. Now, watch, think, and discuss below. There are many more teasers on the channel and there is a website if you would like to see the rest of the project. This is a project by one man to make a movie about an alternate history of space flight. Please consider as you watch that one man directed produced and edited this while still paying his bills, and that it is an unfinished project.
  11. Before you can say 'we', again, [citation needed]. I\'m sorry, but I am not one of those people who will freely accept everything told to them by 'experts', especially someone I am not sure is even an expert. In other words, I\'m not a lemming. You can\'t just say 'this is the way it is' and change my thinking except in extreme circumstances. I need proof, mathematical or cited proof. Some solution can be found. From what I know on the subject, space itself can expand faster than light, and there exists other possible loopholes. Someone, eventually, will figure out how to do it. Heck, who knows, in the next 200 years relativity may be proven incorrect in some senses, or some other great theory can be created that surpasses relativity. It is impossible to predict, and theories are not set in stone. Relativity did overwrite previous ways of thinking, something may do so in the future. Excuse me? I\'m sorry, I\'ll try to state this as humbly as possible, but I don\'t think any ignorant person, especially a 13 year old, understands most of the stuff I know about or done the stuff I do. I would rather not give any examples, as that would break what I said in the first 10 words of the second sentence. Now, I haven\'t learned as much as some others my age, but that\'s because I don\'t want to socially isolate myself. I already am partially. I\'m not saying I know more on the subject, though.
  12. Apparently everyone who wrote this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_drive didn\'t read that 'second to last page'. Now, of course, Wikipedia isn\'t a reliable source, but I\'m not going to believe everyone who has done editing on that page has limited knowledge on the subject. I also refuse to believe that the average troll looking to add misinformation knows to search for 'Alcubierre Drive.' No, it is not impossible, hypothetically, but there are huge hurdles that have to be jumped in order for it to work. By huge, I mean ASTRONOMICALLY huge. Such as the creation of Hawking radiation, the fact that you can\'t get out of the bubble once you get in, and the huge task of trying to create such a bubble. All these make it seem impossible to accomplish, but not impossible. And no matter how much you throw at me trying to prove it is impossible, I\'m not going to stop trying to look for a solution. A lot of people believed it was impossible to travel faster than sound. A lot of people believed heavier than air flight was impossible, and that getting to the Moon was impossible. Here is a quote that I like to use, I don\'t remember it perfectly but it goes something like this: 'If the Earth were to explode tomorrow, the last audible sound will be that of an expert saying it is impossible.' Or so. http://www.permanent.com/infamous-quotes.html Now, I\'m no astrophysicist, and far from it, as I am a normal 13 year old that shows an interest in science, but I won\'t take information this readily. So, in response to your other statements, [citation needed].
  13. Well, actually Damion, it\'s not really in deep space. The distance from Kerbin to Minmus is minute compared to the distance from say, Kerbin to a Pluto analog. It pretty much can be considered the same distance from Kerbol as Kerbin, because the variation from its orbit is negligible. Size shouldn\'t matter as well, at least not much really. I have to say though, those ice-lakes are really convenient even if they\'re hard to explain .
  14. So I\'ve read that the game only uses one object for collision calculations. What I\'ve noticed in blender is that it\'s possible to join objects together into seemingly one object. What I want to know is, does this mean that a node_collider can be more complex than a simple box or cylinder? Or does it not work like that?
  15. Your 'cold of space' comment, that actually is only true on the dark side of a planet. An atmosphere-less planet/moon can be several hundred degrees on the day side, but much colder on the night side. A planet with atmosphere stays mostly the same temperature because of conduction/convection, whereas an atmosphere-less planet does not have those methods, and rapidly heats up and rapidly cools down.
  16. It should be getting the same amount of light as kerbin and the mun, and unless the surface reflects 80+% of the light hitting it, it should be roughly the same temperature range as the mun. Anyone have an explanation for this?
  17. Erm, MechJeb needs its own torque. My idea was to have a ship deploy several mechjeb controlled missiles that would then 'rendezvous' with the target. But alas, even with 4 RCS thrusts on a half tank the thing couldn\'t move! When trying to align orbital planes it was absolutely ridiculous, and MechJeb was doing retarded crap and all it did was hold pitch down the entire time, and the thing started spinning out of control. I don\'t imagine this is a bug, but if it is I\'ll see if there\'s anything odd in the output_log.

EDIT: I just noticed the report above, I am having the same symptoms in addition to the UI glitchout and I also have the Camera mod installed. Is it a compatibility issue?
  19. You shouldn\'t even be thinking about what the direction is in relation to the ground or whatever. That screws everything up. All you need to think about for piloting rockets is 'prograde'(The direction you\'re moving in) and 'retrograde'(The opposite). There are also 4 other directions but those are slightly more advanced. Just remember, burning towards prograde speeds you up and shifts your orbit higher, and burning retrograde does the opposite.
  20. The standard decoupler doesn\'t allow fuel through it because then the stages on a regular rocket would suck out the fuel of stages above them . What you can do is, either cfg edit the StackDecoupler in your parts folder to allow fuel crossfeed, or... Have a fuel tank off to the side that you run fuel to, then run a fuel line from that side fuel tank to the engine. Yes, connecting lines directly to engines is allowed.
  21. I see your using drop tanks, and also that design looks slightly similar to the blackbird .
  22. By far not the most efficient design or even the biggest but it\'s got some really pleasant flight characteristics to it, it\'s a friendly if languid flyer. Perhaps a tad susceptible to resonance though. I actually quite like that design. Quite, organic, I suppose, like a ribcage. I suppose I could try taking a stab at this.
