I would if I had friends that played. :/ -

For this kind of thing Kerbal Construction Time is an absolute MUST. -
NASA IXS Class Warpship, and Spacedocks - For KSP-I and Stock KSP
JordanL replied to Stevie_D's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I really hope someone takes over this mod, I would love it to be updated for 0.90 -
Alright, so I'm confused and hopefully someone can help me out. There's this, which as I've read seems to be fully integrated with Boris' KSPI, right? So I can install that, then install this. This is a set of configurations that harmonizes Boris' KSPI with NFT. However, you also made an install ( https://kerbalstuff.com/mod/508/KSPI%200.90%20Extended%20Configuration ) that harmonizes Boris' KSPI with RealFuels? Do I install both of these? And that's even more confusing, because I thought Boris was trying to integrate KSPI with the Community Resource Project so that it would interoperate with things like TACLS, but RF isn't integrated into CRP. If that's the case, how would this, or a combination of all these configs play with MKS or Karbonite?

[0.90] Magic Smoke Industries Infernal Robotics - 0.19.3
JordanL replied to sirkut's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Wow. See this is an example of how sometimes introducing a feature makes people not think about what if that feature wasn't there. I didn't even consider testing on the pad instead of in the VAB/SPH. Thanks, that will solve my problem. -
[0.90] Magic Smoke Industries Infernal Robotics - 0.19.3

Yeah, this creep bug is preventing me from building my crane unfortunately. It's especially bad for rotating parts. -
Babylon 5 does a better job with the orbital mechanics and science of it than almost ANY sci-fi I've ever watched. I was dead serious. The show itself was about the characters and the drama, but the sci-fi aspects were so well done.

The 0.25 Waiting Room, now boarding passengers heading to Hypetown
JordanL replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Ha, I really wasn't pranking, I just read the last few posts and misunderstood what everyone was talking about, and I was at work so I couldn't check the version of KSP on steam. -
The 0.25 Waiting Room, now boarding passengers heading to Hypetown
JordanL replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wait, is 0.25 launching today!? NOOOOOO! I just got back from a hiatus and updated mods for 0.24.2.... now none of my mods will work! -
You guys should all watch Babylon 5. You'd be proud.

KSP has taught me to be annoyed with how little recognition KOSMOS, NASA and the ESA get. What those organizations accomplish with the budgets they have is nothing short of ****ing magic.

KSP 64bits on Windows (this time, it's not a request)
JordanL replied to Lilleman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
9GB is enough that the OS might be paging. If that's happening, the memory management in KSP has to be really good to prevent slow down like what you experienced. How much RAM do you actually have installed? -
What was your closest call in terms of delta-V?
JordanL replied to pauldbk99's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You know, rescue missions have quite a different feel if you have TAC Life Support installed... if you didn't build in a margin for error into the life support, it's almost impossible, and extra life support resources are heavy. -

JordanL replied to pauldbk99's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Just yesterday I was returning from Mun, but I forgot to factor in the boil-off on my H2 (using RealFuels). So... I had monopropellent. That's right, I RCS'd prograde for almost 12 minutes and returned my ship. I would have just gone back to get the ship, except I also had TAC Life Support installed, and hadn't unlocked docking ports yet, you there was no way to come save him in time. Made it back with all my science. -
KSP 64bits on Windows (this time, it's not a request)
JordanL replied to Lilleman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That happens to me in 32-bit as well, so I'm not sure that's a 64-bit thing. -
How many Kerbal years to compleat the tech tree?
JordanL replied to bonyetty's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wait, with the stock science lab, you can store more than one experiment to return? You can reset your experiments after taking them? How did I miss that? -

Use a combination of Mission Controller Extended and Kerbal Construction Time, and you'll probably have a better career mode than Squad releases. -
KSP 64bits on Windows (this time, it's not a request)
JordanL replied to Lilleman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I actually retested several things in my 32-bit install after I posted, and I think that my problem wasn't directly related to the 64-bit runtime. I'll be testing again when I get home. Large part count ships make the transition to the VAB really... weird though. -

JordanL replied to Lilleman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Nope, all my ships dissintegrate when I use the 64-bit hack here. -

You know, I've contemplated running a VM with 12 GB of RAM dedicated to it just to run a stable 64-bit KSP. I have a Core i7 4770-k proc, 16GB of DDR3 1666 RAM and over 3 TB of HDD space, not to mention a GTX 760 GPU... so I really should be able to run the game in a VM without many issues. What's KSP on Linux like? I have the steam version... any challenges with getting that on linux? Anyone? -
These Are the Voyages: A Longterm, Ion-Only, System Tour
JordanL replied to JordanL's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Not bad. I don't think I'll be able to make an Eve-capable Ion lander that takes a Kerbal to the surface. I can try though. I am making an ion-only spaceplane though, for use on Eve, Laythe, Duna, Jool and Kerbin. -
Here's an example of standardization: All my craft use the same docking ends. Monoprop tank + radial part + quantum strut on the 90 degree angles + RCS. Not only does this make it super easy for me to build, but it also makes it painless to dock. Everything has the same styled docking ports, and since they ALL have the radial part at the 90 degree angles, any two craft that dock automatically strut themselves into a rigid craft.
