  1. Apparently I lose my Moho transfer vehicle (previously parked in 600km Kerbin orbit). Last night, coincidentally, there was one fewer 'flight in progress' on the resume game menu than expected. Sure enough ... it's gone :-( Usually though, I do local missions too. Visiting all the anomalies SCANSat finds, testing new vehicles, relieving crews, etc. I don't mind timewarping a month or two sometimes but more than that there's bound to be something going on.
  2. Chapter 7 of the tutorial in my signature.
  3. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/105718-Changing-Kerbal-Roles
  4. I don't rely on any mods so the problem doesn't arise. Where I prefer mods but they aren't available I make multiple installs for older versions as well as the new one.
  5. Amusingly enough, when I looked up 'Korolev cross' on google, several of the pictures are from KSP. It's a single-stage, dropping the four boosters at the same time. Just position the separatrons to push the top of them away.
  6. Erm, no. My current install, including mods, is just over 2GB. If yours is 4 gigabytes you must have a LOT of mods.
  7. This. For manoeuvre nodes you need to upgrade both the tracking centre and mission control (once each).
  8. Most importantly - if you're changing the aerodynamics with FAR/NEAR make sure you have a compatability patch of MechJeb.
  9. This is the example station illustrated in my tutorial. Completed Station With Tractor Light It has ladders along the 'spine' so Kerbals can move between the tractor at the top, the lab/accommodation in the middle and the cupola at the bottom. The ladders don't actually meet at the hubmax but Kerbals treat them as if they do and cross the gap without issue.
  10. Well now you've posted a picture the problem's obvious - SAS is on and the navball's pointing at the sky. Every little pitch and roll as you cross not-perfectly-level ground is going to have SAS fighting to put get you level again, and it's going to be getting it wrong. Add a probe-core oriented to the horizon properly and 'control from here'.
  11. Yes, sorry if I misunderstood in my previous post. Anyway - we know that better aerodynamices are planned for the next release.
  12. Thank you and Wanderfound - Those are the first I've seen posted (not that I've looked very hard). No surprise to see it is you two presenting them :-) Happy New Year.
  13. How could I resist? (this is going to hurt sooo much ...)
  14. "EDIT2: No, I'm NOT just a moron. It isnt running 64 bit version. This is a link to the output log." FIFY - well, the self-deprecation anyway. Since it isn't a 64-bit question and "The problem does not occur in a newly created game" I'd have to think it was a memory issue, but you say you have 8GB so KSP should have more than it can use. Before starting KSP, what amount of that is free? Having looked at the log file (^^ shoot first, aim later) all the end reports are bit miffed about your 560, which is a pretty old graphics card. On the other hand - KSP ran fairly well on the (really old) 8300 card that I had, until it cooked it, so I'd be surprised if it's a hardware incompatibility issue and there's nothing else to indicate that your system is incompatible. FWIW, I think you're getting serious memory-leaks from Unity scene changes and might - but probably don't - have a 'bad install' (general IT advice along the lines of; 'unplug it and plug it in again'). [This, possibly very embarassing, post courtesy of Specialist290]
  15. 's good and Happy New Year (again) :-) You got a lot of "spaceplane" answers from other people but I thought no-one was addressing what you said you wanted to DO with them. Looks like you know and you're on your way; enjoy it :-)
  16. Awwww, come on - what's the question, or are you working it out for yourself? In any case - have fun!
  17. Perhaps it ws mentioned in http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104823-Ballistic-capture-possible-with-KSP
  18. Did you 'gotten' a rocket to go straight anyway? Is 'straight' a good way to launch? And would Jeb have gone to Mun in a day if he'd tried Apollo first? ... lots of stuff in the game without restricting yourself to 60- or 70- year old 'Earth' technology ;-)
  19. Welcome. But did you find an answer?
  20. Good - so we have a basic design requirement :-) I don't know how far I can help but I'm pretty sure that collectively we can crack exactly what you're trying to do, if it's possible :-) We now have: 1 - Mk3 parts 2 - 'Massive' 3 - "Inverted" cargo bay 4 - Infernal Robotics 'construct a base that way' not parsed - ... have to delve further here ... 'base'?, 'construct'? What do these things mean to a launch/transfer vehicle? Does it have to position them too? [so far 300t 'plane (made of Mk3 parts) to deliver a 1t payload is looking good - keep defining/refining the definition and you'll get to the solution ...]
  21. (my bolding)You might need the help of a psychologist or a philosopher ... Did you have a topic or question for the rest of us?
