MechJeb: Cheating or not? The definitive thread/poll
Suko replied to SpaceLaunchSystem's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
No. It is not. For me, it is essential to know all the info it gives to you, orbit info, surface, delta-v stats... And unlike KER, it gives you the chance of executing manouver nodes. I still make my own manouver nodes, but I let MJ to execute them, as it's precision is often needed to achieve the orbits I intend to when a 4 m/s difference can really ruin your day. And of course, when you have to launch for the seventh time a rocket you've tested already, to an orbit you've put it already, many times before, making it automatic is just great. -
C'mon! I've been waiting since yesterday at 00:00 Western Europe timechart...

Hello, it's been a long time since I started using CKAN, and it was error free until today. I tried to update EVE, and an error message popped in. I tried to uninstall the mod and reinstall it but the error message kept showing up. I decided to manually delete the folders it was in, and refreshing the repository hoping CKAN would detect it was no longer there. It kept showing the mod as installed, and whenever I try to uninstall it, this message appears: (I'm translating it from Spanish, the language of my OS) "Non controlled exception in the app. If you click Continue, the app will omit this error and will try to continue. If you click Exit, the app wil cllose inmediatly. An exception type 'CKAN.ModuleNotFoundKraken' has been produced." And this is the copy and paste of the details tab: CKAN.ModuleNotFoundKraken: Se produjo una excepción de tipo 'CKAN.ModuleNotFoundKraken'. en CKAN.Registry.LatestAvailable(String module, KSPVersion ksp_version) en CKAN.MainModList.<ComputeChangeSetFromModList>c__AnonStorey0.<>m__1(String rDep) en System.Linq.Enumerable.<>c__DisplayClass12`3.<CombineSelectors>b__11(TSource x) en System.Linq.Enumerable.WhereSelectEnumerableIterator`2.MoveNext() en System.Collections.Generic.HashSet`1.UnionWith(IEnumerable`1 other) en CKAN.MainModList.ComputeChangeSetFromModList(Registry registry, KSP current_instance) en CKAN.Main.ModList_CellValueChanged(Object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCell.SetValue(Int32 rowIndex, Object value) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.PushFormattedValue(DataGridViewCell& dataGridViewCurrentCell, Object formattedValue, Exception& exception) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.CommitEdit(DataGridViewCell& dataGridViewCurrentCell, DataGridViewDataErrorContexts context, DataGridViewValidateCellInternal validateCell, Boolean fireCellLeave, Boolean fireCellEnter, Boolean fireRowLeave, Boolean fireRowEnter, Boolean fireLeave) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.CommitEdit(DataGridViewDataErrorContexts context) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.NotifyCurrentCellDirty(Boolean dirty) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCheckBoxCell.OnCommonContentClick(DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.OnCellContentClick(DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCell.OnMouseUpInternal(DataGridViewCellMouseEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.OnCellMouseUp(DataGridViewCellMouseEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) en System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) en System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) en System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.WndProc(Message& m) en System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Edit: Ok... sooo... I tried deleting the CKAN folder in the game, and adding CKAN again, as if it was a fresh install, then I updated the repository and now it only detects half of the mods I've installed, and all of them with an "AD" message. I'm not touching anything else until I get further support, I promise.

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Suko replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hello! I've recently installed RSS and I was adjusting the game. I've noticed a FAR debug menu, where I can change the atmospheric composition of the planets, so I was wandering which were the realistic options for these numbers. Is there any chart or something so I can set a real life- alike atmosphere?- 14,073 replies

You are abducted by aliens. You may ask 3 questions. What do you ask?
Suko replied to Tex's topic in Science & Spaceflight
1.- Would you please cure every physical disease or syndrome I have, making me 100% healthy and making me immune to the most common mortal ones among my species like cancer, AIDS, etc.? 2.- May you please provide me the power to teleport to anywhere within my little planet? 3.- Could you please give me one of those computering devices of yours so I could use it as a gamer's PC without having to upgrade it at all for the next cent? Than you, guys, hope to see you again soon. -
I use it just for the information it displays, and for some automatic launches, as it gets tedious for me to manually take care of every single rocket I make, and since I use Remote Tech I have the habit to use it for putting Communications probes in orbit while I just do anything else.

Are you participating in the Logo Contest?
Suko replied to CalculusWarrior's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'd like so much to participate, but at this moment I can't find the time to make something. Had it been in any other moment I would've done a couple of logos. -
[1.12.x] Kerbal Alarm Clock v3.13.0.0 (April 10)
Suko replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Pretty old post, but helped me with a problem I had with icons. Thanks! -
Is it possible to create a tiny object, maybe a small rock or something, and make the stars orbit around it, as if it was some sort of center of the Universe? You know, 0 gravity and so on, but make everything turn around it. As far as I know, KSP works with this kind of model, that every body has to orbit another one in a "rail" orbit, so why not making this little "cheat"?

The Mun. The biggest spaceships/rockets/pobes/base/kerbalnauts/rovers/spaceplanes/stations graveyard in my KSP game.

Rocketbuilding as a hobby... What is allowed in you country?
Suko replied to Elthy's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Aparently, in my country it is legal to launch whatever you want into the sky if you do it at the correct time of the day and do not make it too loud that it can disturb the others rest. It looks like there even is a governmental organization, the RFAE (Royal Spanish Federation for Aeronautics), that organize annual meetings and competitions. Now I feel like I live in a pretty kerbalish kountry. -
Laughted so hard with that-

A Good Idea On How To Reach The Speed Of light, And Possibly More...
Suko replied to adam1's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yep, I was going to say basically that but much more simplified. It is NOT possible, by any means, to travel at the speed of light. Furthermore, "c" is a constant, that means the speed of light is always the same, regardless of the relative speed of the object you are moving on with anything, 'cause for example the Earth itself is rotating around the Sun at incredibly high speeds, but that does not make us any closer to the speed of light. -
I like the way China is starting to tingle that american pride. With a bit of luck the US will revive that feeling they had with the USSR and a new space race will start, that's what space exploration needs the most, people getting interested on it and pushing their goverments to revive it. We managed to get to the Moon in a decade since the first probe got above the atmosphere, imagine what we could do with nowadays technology if we went for it.
