Better Atmospheres Development Thread
SirusKing replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Perhaps a little bluer? But still, looks awesome ^^ On second thoughts, perhaps some chocolate chips? It would really give minmus the whole "pudding" moon look -

Much better! IMO it adds a lot to the characteristics of the planet to just see minor clouds like that. -
Better Atmospheres Development Thread
SirusKing replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Because Titan has such thick atmosphere, much of the light that hits it directly reflects producing a shine at the closest part facing sol. Most other bodies (such as venus) with extremely thick atmospheres show this. -

xD A high up layer, perhaps? I would of suggested a shine like Titan has, however I doubt that is possible. -

What about some dark grey clouds? At least something to stand out, otherwise the planet looks rather featureless from orbit -
Better Atmospheres Development Thread

Although the atmosphere colour for laythe is great, I do think it should have some nice grey clouds around the equator. -
Most interesting planets?
SirusKing replied to Tortoise's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I think either Minmus or eve. Both are pretty unique and pretty. -
IMO, the new tanks/rockets are fine, they should just be a little further down the tech tree. Another node after "massive rockets" would be cool.

What level of terrain scatter is "canon"
SirusKing replied to r4pt0r's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It would be awesome if the scatter was solid -
Photons don't have any REST mass, however they do have relativistic mass. If you are throwing out energy, you can still generate thrust (just very little, since mass is an awful lot of energy). A Giant laser would work, however it would (very slowly) use up the filament or whatever you are using, and unless you give several exawatts of power to it, you won't be going anywhere soon.

[1.0.2] TAC Self Destruct v1.5.1 [13May]
SirusKing replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Could it be possible for device, with self destruct, just make a very large explosion instead of simply making all connected parts explode? (wait, that is what happens, right?) -
Two methods (I think?) Land something on the ground with a siesmic detector and turn on "recording". Then, smash a probe into the ground at high speed and it should detect it... OR, just have a small probe with two siesmic detectors on, both with recording on, and smash that into the ground. Its a little OP though, 500 science from the mun and minmus without even needed to send it back to base or have control over the probe

LOTS OF FUEL AND NEWCLEARAIR ENGINES!!!1 My plan is to send a reasonable size ship with fairly efficient engines into LKO, Dock some more fuel tanks onto it, then send it off to grab a Class D Asteroid. Bring the Asteroid into LKO Again, then let it go and refuel the asteroid collector. Send it off again, bring another Class D Asteroid into LKO, within a few hundred meters of the previous asteroid. Repeat 3 more times. Send up a large fuel tank with two grabbing claws on it, grab the first asteroid and rendezvous with another. Link with the next asteroid. Repeat this for the other 3 asteroid, until you have an asteroid pentagon ring thing. Dock a bunch of random science, habitat and life support stuff to it. Boom, Asteroid Space Station.

My eyes hurt when I look directly at Kerbol
SirusKing replied to ScallopPotato's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Its the difference between "not very bright" and "super bright" from when you look away from kerbol, then towards it, not the actual brightness itself. But hey, realistic pain is the best feature ever -
[1.3] Kerbal Joint Reinforcement v3.3.3 7/24/17
SirusKing replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does the mod not reinforce docking clamps? My ship http://i.imgur.com/DHESp4l.jpg?1?6024 , when turning or accelerating, wobbles like hell. This is likely because of the smaller center, but is this Fixable?- 2,647 replies

[1.1]Hullcam VDS - mod adopted by linuxgamer
SirusKing replied to Albert VDS's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does the science camera actually give science?
