It's a 'status update' feature, basically expanding the social media stuff from the last forum to full facebook clone. The forums are still separate and should work in about the same way.

Ok.  It's not so bad on its own, but I much rather something more forumy, with formatting and signatures and all those other bells and whistles. 

Just gotta hang tight, and hope nothing explodes.
