Edit: this is a dumb suggestion and i didn't phrase it the way I want. old title: Engine-ers should be able to tweak engine trust/ISP/etc. (see desc) Engineers (mid-high xp level) should be able to tweak engine ISP for more thrust and vice versa. E/C alternators in engines could be disabled for more thrust, or cranked up to produce more electricity at the expense of more fuel or less thrust (like a crappy low-tech fuel cell). Of course, the "tweakability" of everything should be limited so we can't have mainsail engines replacing nukes and vice versa. Maybe this could be balanced with an overheat mechanic: increasing thrust/ISP causes overheating and require radiators. At one point the rocket will reach a hard limit.
  2. I built a plane that would have to land on the VAB in career mode, so I added a parachute. I decided to repack it after I was done just in case I needed it again. Turns out I can't repack it because Jeb isn't an engineer. I think any kerbal with an EVA parachute should be able to repack spacecraft parachutes as well. Engineers still have other class bonuses and should be able to repack spacecraft chutes by default
  3. Does a mod like this exist? Is a mod like this possible? Getting spring/damper settings right is a nightmare of launch/revert/launch/revert. It would be so much easier if Engineers could alter it out in the world. Please, share your thoughts.

  5. Hi! I was wondering if there's a way (or an existing mod already) that makes it possible for Engineer kerbals on EVA to change some settings on parts that only can be set in the editor for now. For example: Thrust level on SRBs, your engineer walks up to it, and is able to set the thrust level slider. Is there any way of accomplishing this? A smart MM patch perhaps? Any idea or addition is welcome! Cheers
  6. Hello Squad, i just thought that it might be cool if engineers with a certain lvl would be able to edit action groups during a mission. That would especially be useful for in-space-assembled ships. Or like Asteroid balancing if you could chose a specific engine to toggle on/off because stuff doesnt poit to the center of mass. What do you think?
  7. I have an idea to make engineers much more useful! What if you would create a new storable resource called "parts" or something along those lines that engineers could use to build in space! That would make engineers very much useful in space stations or even rocket creation in space to make more advanced rockets to go to different parts of the kerbal system! I hope you will consider my idea!
