Frizzank Aeronautical Space Administration presents - Apollo, Gemini & Mercury. Pronounced like NASA but with an F (FASA) FASA is going to be transferring to NathanKell. I no longer have enough free time to maintain FASA and he is a great choice for it. I gave him complete control over the mod but I will keep the original up on Kerbal Stuff just in-case anyone still wants to download the old, non-updated one. Delete the plugin folder reflections no longer work as of KSP 1.1. Raster Prop Monitor (JSI folder) will need to be manually updated for 1.3 compatibility. RPM Latest download The latest version taken over by NathanKell is here, Module Manager configs make it work with Realism Overhaul. if your not using RO delete the MM configs. FASA/RO Latest Download OLD Stable Full Release Now on Spacedock!!! http://spacedock.info/mod/188/FASA%20-%20Frizzank%27s%20Aeronautics%20and%20Space%20Administration Google drive 5.44 mirror-click download at the top of the page. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TWBhfzs3ZXNHlaZmY3QkRjTnM/view?pref=2&pli=1 Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/s/3qt22esj59yfsi4/FASA5.44.zip?dl=0 These are Kerbal versions of NASA rockets, not NASA replicas. Replicas are not the direction I want to go with FASA. I want to keep it fun, simple, easy, and have it be a somewhat stock like in appearance. Currently there are almost 200 parts in this pack and they give you a wide range of options. Updated FASA Light Version Helpful but not required mods.... I highly recommend Kerbal Joint Reinforcement to help with larger builds like the Saturn V! http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55657-0-23-5-Kerbal-Joint-Reinforcement-v2-2-4-2-14 Also this pack fixes many bugs including the Launch Clamps going with you to space http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/97285 Real chute module manager fix.(your apollo chutes are messed up) http://www./download/bpig55ly85qawmx/FASA_RealChute_MM.cfg The Apollo CM and Lander were created by DennyTx. You can fallow his development here. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/70557-APOLLO-LEM-OLDD-%28Odd-Looking-Devices-by-DennyTX%29-present-%28v-0-23-03-03-14%29 Also here is an excellent Skylab part for downloading. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/86243-23-5-Skylab-%28Compatible-with-OLDD-FASA-LOVAD%29-ALPHA-RELEASE-v0-1?p=1272382 Raster Prop Monitor version of Gemini http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/66824-0-23-5-FASA-Gemini-IVA-Modernization-2-0-%28RasterPropMonitor%29 Realism Overhaul Mod Info http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/84689 Want your own deploy-able rover? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/86343-Portable-Rover-Components-New-project-from-ASET-%28up-29-07-14%29 Just want the launch clamps and none of the fluff here ya go! http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/71032-FASA-Launch-Towers For CKAN RSS/RO and any other Non FASA mod problems. I work extremely hard to make FASA work well with the stock game I do not provide any support for mods that alter FASA, and I have nothing to do with them. You should ask the associated authors of those mods. A video review of FASA from "The Block Room" Install Instructions All mods reside in their own folder under "GameData" in the main KSP directory. Delete the old version of FASA before installing. The parts folder in the main KSP directory should not have any FASA parts in it. It is no longer used in .20 and beyond. If your upgrading from before .20 your craft and saves will no longer work correctly. Steam install is here. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData The "Squad" folder is the stock parts that come with KSP, any other folder you add is a mod. To remove the mod just delete the FASA folder. If there are any parts you wish to delete from FASA open up the mod folder and delete any folders you dont like, or want. I do this a lot with mods I download. It keeps loading times low and filters out the parts I never use. If your upgrading to a new version "You Must" delete the old version of FASA before installing newer versions! Having older version parts and not deleting them will give you duplicate parts. Something went wrong and FASA broke KSP, HELP!!! Do this first before asking for help.... Step 1- This helps with memory problems. Delete the FASA mod. Run KSP again. From the main menu, click on settings and then Graphics at the top. Change your "Texture Quality:" to the Eighth Res option. Click apply then exit KSP Re-install FASA and try running KSP again. If nothing is working or some parts are missing, something is seriously broken with KSP continue to step 2 Step 2- This helps with broken or missing parts. Start with a fresh instal of KSP. If you like you can copy the previous install somewhere else as a backup first. If your using steam, right click on the name in the library and click delete local files. Navigate to the steam game directory and verify that the Kerbal space program folder is gone. If it is still there delete it! C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ After its done double click the Kerbal Space Program name in your list of games and select install. If its a regular version of KSP. Delete KSP and then re-install it. You should now have a CLEAN version of stock KSP. Open the FASA.zip file Copy all of its content into your main KSP directory. If you put it in the correct spot you should get a confirmation popup asking if you want to overwrite the folders and files. Say YES overwrite all folders and files. You should have a clean version of KSP and FASA only. Run KSP and see if it works. If it still crashes on load, verify that you have enough free memory to run KSP with mods. If you have less than 2gb of RAM you are going to need to upgrade your system or install fewer parts. Whats with the sandwich? Just something I've been tinkering with in my spare time, and hopefully a Thanksgiving treat for some: a collection "rebuilt" FASA craft files, that work with the version of FASA I've got running on 1.12, which seem to at least get around the loading problems from the old FASA craft files floating around, that I've found or used from old KSP versions. https://imgur.com/gallery/oKOOzZj You'll note that many of these parts look "chromey"—that's thanks to Textures Unlimited and Magpie Mods, but needed a bit of fiddling to make work—you'll have to, if I remember my workflow right, trim out the (no longer functional) ReflectiveShaderModule code out of the FASA part that needs to be shiny, and remove the entry from the Magpiemods/TU_Cfgs/FASAlite.cfg for the FASA parts that you DON'T want to be shiny, or as you see, you'll get a gleaming mirror sheen on the parts that are painted white, and a dull gloss at best on the parts that are supposed to be gleaming chrome. I haven't bothered to do this on all the FASA parts personally I use, yet, and leave that as an exercise for others to try, themselves. These craft files also include a Saturn V with a CSM/LEM stack—IIRC, the later versions of FASA dropped this, for various reasons, and I think I imported it back into my own setup from an old copy, so those Craft files might not work on other people's install. So, I've included subassembly files of the "guts" of a Saturn V and Nova from the sections aft of the LEM attachment, so you can puzzle around and cobble together a substitute LEM, if you need or see fit. Also, the Big G parachutes are, it seems, totally inadequate for a survivable landing. I've been having some luck replacing them with KNES paraglider chutes, personally, but I'll leave that to other people to try for themselves, or get used to bailouts or expendable Kerbonauts. I'm using RSS, which I managed to get installed on 1.7.3, and I've also got FASA working. I noticed, however, that the ISP of all the engines is a lot higher than I think it's supposed to be. For example, the ISP of the Swivel engine is 425 ASL and 544 VAC. That's a lot higher than stock. Does anyone know why this would be? Maybe just a compatibility thing, since neither of these mods is really supposed to work in 1.7.3. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to fix it? Thanks.

DOWNLOAD Click here to download FASA_RCS I decided to make some stock-like RCS blocks I thought were sorely missing from the base game. I like the new making history expansion but I didn’t like the absence of new RCS thrusters to go with it. RCS 45 is similar to the stock one just at 45 degrees. Lastly is a powerful single direction RCS for retro thrust applications.

Ok so when I installed FASA, the buttons are not working, I installed JSI (RasterPropMonitor) and the buttons are still not working, is there anything that I misplaced or something?

Is FASA going to be continued? I really want to try out the mod, but it's not up to date. Does anyone plan to continue this or know of any plans to continue it? Here's a link to FASA's post: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/22888-105-fasa-544/

So I was trying to launch the FASA Saturn V rocket, but every time I turn on SAS, it shakes itself to pieces, and if I don't turn on SAS, it rolls and yaws uncontrollably. Is anyone else having this problem, and how do I fix it?

Hello all, Whenever I try to separate the CSM from the 3rd stage, the four fairing pieces that come with the rocket do not detach. I know that I have my staging correct. Does anyone have any helpful tips? Any help is appreciated. mustangpilot51

I have recently returned to KSP and was looking forward to the integrated telemetry and wanted to try the RO / FASA / Historical Contracts mods. After a few days playing with the available pre-release versions on GITHUB I seem to have everything working except for RealHeat (which appears to be abandoned?). The early game USSR craft seem to be a bit under powered and the Saturn V only has a TWR of .31. I've tried merging the pending pulls on FASA/RO GIT's but the mass and thrust are right (maybe not counting all the engines?). Anyway, I was just wondering if there is anybody else that wants to collaborate on getting RO working again, or should I just wait it out? Happy Landings! -Dead

Hello, people! So, I got the great FASA mod, and I'm trying to make it work with RSS (not easy at all, they don't seem to be calibrated one for the other), and I tried to load the FASA stock ship Saturn V Apollo Lunar, but it couldn't load because it seems to be missing these two parts: FASASaturnSLA and FASASaturnUllage. Does anybody know what these are and any reason I don't have them? The FASA and RSS mods were downloaded via CKAN. Thanks in advance!

I'm using Fasa's mod for making the apollo mission and realism overhaul. Everything works except for one thing that drives me crazy and I can't find any solution on the internet. The problem is with the decoupler that conceals the lunar lander. When I decouple it everything starts going crazy and the craft explodes. So I tried to put another decoupler under it to make it float away from the rest of the craft and decouple that concealer later. Still the same thing. Everything starts going crazy! I'll add some images to demonstrate. Please can someone tell me whats going on and how I can solve this.

Hi! I've been having some issues with the parachute for FASA's Apollo parts for some time now and it really annoys me. The chute is always fully opened when I add the part and during the whole flight. I'll add a picture. The chute always stays exactly the same as in the picture during the whole flights. How do I solve this?

Hey everyone, just reinstalled FASA using CKAN after a few different new games without it. Im using RP0, RSS and RO. Specifically the loader (module manager) right after booting the game hangs on FASA/apollo/apolloCSM/FASA_Apollo_LES. Anyone know a cause or solution to this and or what relevant files I could post here to help?
