  1. first, here is how it works: take a famous quote that is space-related. then kerbalize it. just make sure it isn't offensive or against the guidelines. so, I'll start with two: John F. Kerman: "We choose to go to the mun, not because it is easy, not because it is hard but because we can use even moar boosters." Neil Kerman: "one small step for a kerbal, one giant leap for the tech tree" edit: once we reach a second page, I will nominate one comment as the winner and ask the mods to close the thread. Edit edit: aviation quotes are also allowed (but make sure they're kerbalized)
  2. Simple; a place to share Kerbalized movie quotes (and optionally, the movie they came from as well). No further rules or instructions needed. (aside from the official Forum Rules, of course) Examples: "You've turned off MechJeb, Luke. Are you alright?" -Star Wars Episode IV "You needn't worry about your reward. If science is all that you love, then that's what you'll receive." -Star Wars Episode IV (again)
  3. So, for example: Person 1: "Hello there" Person 2: "General Kenobi! You are a bold one" OR Person 1: "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum" Person 2: "But I'm all out of gum" You may provide the quote source, or make people guess it. Your choice!
  4. The Post of The Quotes In this thread you can post your KSP quotes, here are a two of mine: Screenshot by: howlingmmurdock Screenshot by: Ixolate Industries
  5. Title suggests it all. The FAQ says: "5. If you have a quote in your post, you can hit enter two times while your cursor is in the appropriate location, and the quote will be split there." This is flatly untrue. Sometimes it works, oftentimes it doesn't. I'm trying to reply to a 5 point post, and 1 and 2 split as per the above statement, and the rest don't. With forum source as a thing, I could just throw formatting tags in, but instead I'm stuck with a series of annoying choices to try and make it look the way I want. <EDIT> So I just went back to my window, and hit enter twice, and split them all. Could it possibly care about how quickly you hit enter? tap--tap works, but taptap, or tap-tap doesn't (where the - is some time interval)?
  6. The first poster posts something that someone on the forum has said, like this: The next poster must try to guess who said it, like this: Then they post another quote for the next poster, and so it continues in a loop. Please post quotes as above, and don't post quotes like this: Also, you must quote the entire post, and no editing! Oh, and you could look it up but that ruins the fun, so don't look it up before guessing! Let's see how this goes. Who said...
  7. It might be just me, but I'm noticing more big walls of unnecessary text, where someone has quoted the whole post to reply, rather than just highlights, or the relevant section. This is kind of annoying. Takes up space, results in scrolling over the whole thing, not reading the relevant bit, which partially defeats the purpose of quotes. Just me? Anyone else finding this more frequent and annoying? Perhaps some sort of forum etiquette announcement or something might be an idea?
