Are you going to add or modify anything else? Just curious. I've always wished it had an IVA.

It actually uses a generic space for an IVA. I can't exactly model, so it'll keep that.

I'm attempting to make the solar panels actually work. I've also made one warp ring the actual drive and the other a generator.

Interstellar is still being maintained, first through the efforts of Boris-Barboris, and now FreeThinker.

Any chance you could get this ship working in 0.90 for Interstellar as well? It's about the only thing still missing from my mod list. I'd be grateful, and I'm sure others would too.

I suppose I could, but I don't really like Interstellar that much. It can't be run with many mods due to it's intense memory usage and game-overhauling style, and the new versions do have some weird bugs. Not only that, but the warp drives in that aren't very realistic compared to the USI one.

Also, this mod doesn't really fit with Interstellar that well, as it has a more polished and stockalike appearance.

I'm curious does anyone know how long this ship would take to reach a star in the Stella star system mod?

It real time and game time.

Stella doesn't work with the new version of Kopernicus, but I'd say about 2 hours in real time. I've tried sending it to another star system mod, Kirius (which I am helping to develop) which is twice as far as Stella was, but after an hour (and only a quarter of the way there) I gave up and HyperEdited to it.

The trick is to start the warp drive while in very low solar orbit so you're at a very high speed. The faster you were going when you activated the warp drive, the sooner you get to your destination.

Fair enough - it's entirely up to you. Just hoping...

I'm toying with dropping Interstellar anyway, for many of the reasons you mention. Getting it to play nicely with everything else I use is getting harder and harder. For some reason, I'm really reluctant to lose the waste heat mechanic, though.

Thanks for this beautiful ship, I really was awaiting for someone taking this back.

I made a quick try with it, and it worked well in the first launch, but after revert flight some times, the reactor was deactivated cause UF4 deprived. But it wasn't...

Is that an issue you kew about or not?

Gotta fix that. Next update will come out tomorrow with new stuff.

Of course its up to you what you do with your fork. Granted. But dont spread incorrect informations. The Versions from Boris-Barboris and FreeThinker are working just fine (there are not more "weird bugs" than in any other mod here including yours and its heavily worked on), and with a certain amount of mods in 32bit the use of the (also working fine) Advanced Texture Manager is highly encouraged anyway.

And about realism ... we are talking about a highly theoretical scientific concept for a warp drive that may or may not be possible in our (multi)universe. Not even a engineering problem right now, no one knows if something like this is even practical. The (original) KSPi Warpdrive is exactly as "realistic" as the later one from roverdude (who i really like by the way). Roverdude is only a tiny bit more diligent and better at markting than FractalUK :)

So ignore the original KSPi warpdrive as long as you want, but not for the wrong causes. Thanks!

No worries. We ignore the original warp drive for perfectly valid reasons that we spend minutes preaching to ourselves in the mirror every morning. Some of those reasons might even stand up to the scrutiny of others. Rest assured, however, that our acts of ignoring are for all the right reasons. The dancing midget told me to say this. Always do what the dancing midget tells you to do... ho knows how to disturb you... always watching... always listening.... always dancing....

What was I talking about again? Huh, oh well. Probably not very important anyway.

That was a good one :) Most of my important decisions are made by dancing midgets too!

I realy would like to integrate this mod into KSP Extended , and if Rover Dudes gives permission, include its currents graphics and workings. The main difference whould we the amount of power it requires (which will be very large) and it would be postioned at the end of the CTT techtree.

You could make your own configs and share them. I'm not the original author.
