Simple question, is there a way to repair Solar panels?

Unfortunately, no.

Caveat: There may be a mod that allows you to, but if there is I don't know of it.

KAS let you move all the panels except the huge. No repair but you can move panels from another probe.

If you're not above editing the save file, you can just find the affected vessel and change the status of its panels. I'll admit to having done this before, after sending up some kind of "repair" ship as justification.

I never understood why you can't repair them in KSP. One of the most famous missions the STS shuttle ever did was replace the solar panels on the Hubble.

Can you place them on snapped angles with KAS? I've used it to fix them, but the result is always crooked.

You can repair them by editing the save file, so you kinda have to role-play it.

Search for the name of your vessel, then "BROKEN" for the solar panels and change the broken to "RETRACTED"

If you make a quicksave and edit that, then reload from quicksave then you don't have to unload & re-load kerbal.

When you fix wheels and landing legs the game is effectively doing the same thing in-engine. But it seems like solar panels should need some kind of materials. The new evolution of KAS (KIS, which looks like it will be out shortly) might add that function, or they might want to by letting you take up a solar panel repair kit and repair with that.

Nah, it never lines up perfectly. But I don't usually care that much, since it doesn't affect anything.

Protip, thanks Never worked out why one of my Minmus base solar panels was broken one day, and there's an engineer on site so my inner RP is satisfied ^^
