Key Bindings

Anyone else find that once you have played kerbal, you try to use the key bindings for ksp in other games. Even when it doesn't work. Repeatedly.

To counter this, I have come up with a few solutions:

1 - All other games are banned.

2 - All other games are forced to use ksp bindings.

No, but seriously, what do you guys do to counter this, it's game breaking for me...

You think that's bad. Try switching back and forth between QWERTY and Dvorak.

Seriously, though, I think your plan number 1 is the way to go.

If only that happened just in games... I frequently press F1 to take a screenshot of something and then wonder why it doesn't work.

Another solution might be a sticky note with "THIS AIN'T KSP FOOL" on a side of the screen.

Ive found that some games magically translate to dvorak without any actions required by me. Planetside2 and War Thunder being examples of this. Unfortunately KSP does not do this.

I frequently press F1 to take a screenshot of something and then wonder why it doesn't work.

I am altogether too familiar with the help menu in most other apps I use.

KSP: F2 hides the interface and F1 takes screenshots.

Minecraft: F1 hides the interface and F2 takes screenshots.

This causes me no end of aggravation.

I purposely designed my key bindings for KSP with my Flight Stick to be nearly the same as Elite: Dangerous for this exact reason. Obviously some controls are different, but ED has all the basic flight controls, Landing gear, and translations too, so I made those the exact same buttons/analogs.

I use the Steam overlay, so F1 does take screenshots for me, lol.

Try playing consoles where you can't rebind your keys. Then play Saint's Row 2 for a while, then SR3. Watch as you keep leaping out of moving vehicles thinking you're activating the handbrake.

LOL... I thought I was slow for doing this so many times. Glad I'm not the only one.
