Transferring Saves to Different Versions

Hello, I am preparing to move a save to a 1.0 version for when it comes out, would I have to start all over again or could I just drop the save file in the new version and everything automatically updates itself? Because I don't want to loose everything I did in 0.90. Thank you in advance!

Sometimes the new version will work with old save files and sometimes it will not. So far, I have not heard any indications that 1.0 will break 0.90 saves, but that doesn't mean that it can't happen.

I'm sorry, but no better answer is possible until the changes between the versions have been finalized.

Bear in mind that we're expecting a lot of tweaks to part parameters between 0.90 and 1.0. So, even if, physically, your craft stay intact during the transition, it won't necessarily mean that they still perform (at all/well/the same)
