How resource hungry are ladders?

I have some parts to which I'd like to add some, but for realistic results I'd need to add between 8 and 12 to each of the structural hubs for example. Can I go nuts?

edit:

Do they have an impact on performance specifically?

Get paint.net its free, you can resize the ladder texures to 256x256 - no one notice the change just your PC

small parts=small textures

You can resize almost all KSP textures, its messed up already, eating memory and cpu like 2048x2048 texture for pilot seat etc.

Everything that's not texture or mesh related as I said. I'm not interested in the visuals.

Well if a Kerbal is using it I assume its using more CPU resources than most parts since it has to calculate where the Kerbal is and what is happening but I don't think it would be too bad just a bit extra really. Now if you took eighty kerbals and put them on ladders that would be bad but... Hold on a second I have an idea lol!

I don't think ladders take any of the processing power. Kerbal Space Center has ladders everywhere, around 20 of them on the buildings, with lengths from 5m to 30m. Yet we don't notice this at all. Many people don't even know that buildings have many ladders in KSC.

Agreed I don't think they do anything more than say a landing gear until a Kerbal interacts with them then it probably does draw some additional resources but nothing drastic
