How to find near-dres asteroids?

Asteroids can now be found orbiting near Dres.

I have placed spacecraft around dres in sandbox mode (meaning full level tracking station), yet no asteroids appear. What is necessary to cause them to appear / locate them, if at all possible?

Edit: I just found some, perhaps it happened after the 1.01 or 1.02 patches

Can you see asteroids around Kerbin? Maybe you need to upgrade the tracking station.

The only other thing I can think is maybe you need to bring scanners with you (like the new ISRU scanners) to get them to show up.

I used ISRU scanners in orbit above Dres, but no asteroids still.

Yes, I have a fully upgraded tracking station, I can see the normal near-Kerbin asteroids.

Ha, I just came to the forum to ask this same question. I am in career but all my buildings have max upgrades. I used a resource scanning probe on Dres which worked just fine for seeing resources, but my map view only shows asteroids near Kerbin.

... has anyone found the Dres asteroids yet? I was really looking forward to this.

EDIT: nvm, I switched to the probe in orbit of dres, then pulled up the map view and zoomed out and there they were. Clicking on them allowed the option to "track from tracking station".
