Welp, trying to revive it to work was a complete failure - Then again, it was 400 parts and was a little too overpowered, so I decided to start again. Still a WIP, but I'd like your opinion on it

Presenting: The much smaller, and more pleasant-looking Delta IV Heavy! Lawsuits and Patents pending.

It has too much Delta-V to boot, with enough power for an escape trajectory out of Kerbin - Something I still have to fix. It still doesn't have a payload decoupler (and RTGs!). See it finished very, very soon.

I forgot to get pictures of it landed, Just trust me it lands and returns safely(ish)

The Delta 3 has been built! Please note, the fuel values are optimized for 1.0 and the payload, and even in 1.0.2, it would be ridiculous fully fueled (Real scale)

The Delta 3 was initiated as a response to increasingly high payloads in the satellite market. Built to carry 3.8 metric tones to GTO, it contained a beefier kerosene tank, shorter than the Delta 2's but equaling in fuel amount. The SRB's were upgraded, and a Cryogenic Upperstage was built, unlike the Delta K Hypergolic fuel mixture 2nd stage on the Delta 2. The first launch in 1998 ended in failure 73 secs in the flight due to a faulty guidance system, and the RSO (Range Safety Officer) destroyed the rocket and the payload, Galaxy 10. The second launch put Orion 3 in a useless orbit due to a defect in the 2nd stage. The last launch in 2000 succeed in carrying a dummy payload to an specified orbit (though on the lower part of its margin. However, development on the Delta 4 led to its replacement.

Well, I was able to pull out two variants of the Delta IV Heavy - Empty and one with Orion EFT-1's payload.

The Delta IV Heavy is an expendable launcher currently in service. Ever since it's first launch in 2004, it has proved valuable for the space industry and has continued boosting classified and conventional payloads up to orbit.

One of it's most well-known launches is Orion EFT-1, where it sent a structurally similar dummy into space and back, proving it's capabilities and continuing to pave the way towards the SLS program.

The Delta II 6925 was a rocket flown 14 times from 1989-1992 with no failures. This one features the "Straight Eight" Fairings (referring to the fact that the fairing is straight up the central core). It has 9 Castor 4A SRB's, the wordy Extra Extended Long Tank Thor with an RS-27, the Hypergolic Delta K, and a Solid fuel Star 48. The only launch with the Delta 6925-8 was with the HS-376 Palapa B2R, a reflight of Palapa 2, after the Star 48 kick motor failed after being released from the Space Shuttle in 1984. It was retrieved, refurbished, and then relaunched flawlessly in 1990.

-This Replica, having been built in 1.0, may suffer from low Delta-V in 1.0.2, so adding fuel to the Central first stage is recommended, and note that the Star 48 and HS-376 kick motors are SRBs, so KER is recommended for Delta-V adjustments.

I have a working Saturn Shuttle proto-type right now. I'm still tweaking it before it is ready to share. RCS is unbalanced still (unlikely to get properly balanced all told) and landing is still very tricky. I'm playing with exact wing positioning to see if I can make landing a bit easier.

Flight instructions:

-SAS on, full throttle press space bar!

-At 300m/s turn east to 70degress or as close as possible

-stage the boosters and start a slow turn to 45 degrees when at 500m/s

-keep slowly turning as speed and altitude increases

-complete orbit with transfer stage

-shoot for Duna! on a collision course

-stage into cruise stage for trip to Duna

-adjust orbit for atmospheric entry to Duna at your chosen altitude

-Stage cruise stage and enter the atmosphere

-deploy chute and when open stage heatshield then the skycrane

-land on Duna! Yes, yes, I know that's easier said than done but there is plenty of fuel so take your time. You can hover, land then fire off the skycrane. As long as the rover is intact it doesn't matter. See video for example landing.

The Atlas-Centaur rockets flew from 1962-2004, flying 197 times with only 13 failures (and 3 partial ones). They flew many prolific missions, including Mariner 9&10, Pioneer 10,11, and Pioneer Venus, SOHO, and the Surveyor Moon Landers. This rocket features ½ staging, where booster engines slip off the side of the rocket while the core continues the ascent. On top is the 2 engine Centaurs used in the Atlas-Centaur era. Built in 1.0.

I'm still working on wing-placement so that the shuttle can land properly and stay controllable during reentry. The most recent test had the wings just a touch too far forward during re-entry but also had more fuel in the tanks than expected / intended.

Description: The Voyager Probes were two identical probes both launched in 1977, with the mission objective being to study the outer planets some more. As of now, both are technically still running, even though both are shutting down many systems and activating their backup thrusters just to conserve the tiny bit of power left in those probes that mean that they can only communicate several times a week. Thankfully, we still have contact with them at all, and Voyager 1 is actually in interstellar space right now. It is actually the farthest man-made object from Earth, even farther than the dead Pioneer 10 probe, and even it's brother Voyager 2. But mind you, even Voyager 2 is amazingly far from all the rest of the manmade stuff that exists (and it's farther from us than Pioneer 10 too). These are truly wonderful probes that deserve to be remembered. (And a side note, the assent for this thing is pretty hard. Even though after that, it's cool; just know that. Also, taking control in the probe core on the launch stage is advised for that. Oh, and there is very little torque in the transit stage, but there is some. And it has a really small solar panel under the fairing, not none though.) *Done*
