Puzzled by Maneuver Node placement

Hi All,

Something strange happened today I can't recall I ever had happen before.

After docking with my space station in orbit around Kerbin I wanted to push the whole thing into a higher orbit. For that I went to place a maneuver node on the blue orbit line, but the program didn't let me. And yes, I was controlling the whole thing from the attached rocket, there was crew in there and fuel was available, as far as I know there shouldn't be any other reason for me not to be able to place a maneuver node. (ksp v. 1.0.2)

Anybody else seen this behavior too? I wonder if this is a bug or something in career mode that prevents me for placing a maneuver node...

Well, I just started burning Prograde, who needs maneuver nodes anyway.

But all jokes aside, I presume you've seen / had happen this to you too. Maybe time for a bug report...

Yeah this is a common thing (yadda yadda left beta too soon yadda yadda). F5/F9 fixes it every time.

Okay, that's good to know for when one really does need a node.

I don't know if you should even bother. I've had this problem since 0.24.2 and it's probably much older and widely known. Just like that weird floating eye on the male kerbals.

It's definitely some sort of bug, seems to happen to me most often just after leaving an SOI.

Well, I wondered if it had something to do with the fact the space station doesn't have any control module by itself, only when docked with an other spacecraft there's control available. It may be an old bug, but obviously I've never seen or had it happen before, so it puzzled me big time.
