Space Station contracts

Recommended Posts

I have done some of them, but I noticed a new one. It tells me to make a bigger one with lots of fuel on board and a lab.

My question is: Do I have to send it in one piece or can it take multiple launches with docking pieces together?

As long as you end up with something in orbit that fulfills the requirements, it will work. Doesn't matter which parts you launch first, or in what order.

It does matter, however, that all the pieces were launched after you took the contract. If you dock with something that predates the contract, then that spoils the "new craft" requirement.

If I dock something to a station or reuse an old tug for assembly in space, will it "taint" the new vessel?

It might depend on which vessel is dominant. But how to recognize which is and which isn't? I have no clue.

What if I then undock the newer part and dock to something that has been recently put in orbit after the contract got accepted?
