Cute Mecha Dinosaur!

Hello everyone!

Today, I'm making something a little different. It's a VTOL! It's small! It's cute! It's... well... it's... see for yourself.

Cute Mecha Dinosaur!

This tiny mechanical creature has loads of gimmicks. It can stand on its two hind feet, which was difficult enough to achieve. It has solar-panel 'wings' for a bit extra power (though the tail, made of RTGs, provides plenty of power as-is). It can VTOL and land safely with the help of some parachutes. Best of all, it looks nice and is rather part-light (79 parts).

I'm sure you want to see some pictures... so here we go.

Here's the creature on the ground. Note the big eyes and the solar-panel wings.

Taking to the skies! RCS tanks give this craft close to a minute of flight time - not too impressive for a regular VTOL, but pretty neat for a dinosaur.

...and it's landed on the SPH after an uneventful journey.

Hello everyone! Thanks for the positive comments.

I think that rather than having a flamethrower, this little guy will just have two hidden RCS ports on its nose for a more gentle effect.

I love creating these small little things. I'll probably create a video today or tomorrow, and the .craft file will be released along with said video. So stay tuned!

It's labeled "Cute Widdle Dino." No, I couldn't think of anything else to call it. Sorry about its treacliness. (That's totally a word, by the way.)

The only thing out of the ordinary is that pressing the '1' action group toggles solar panels. It's probably best to fly this thing with caps lock on. Other than that, it's just your standard dinosaur. Nothing out of the ordinary.
