SHiftER's Slapstick Sketchfab Services!

What's Dis?

Hello, everyone! This is SHiftER2O, and bringing you . .. something I have debate on whether it should be posted on the Space Exchange. Technically, we would need to exchange craft files for this to work, so anyways..

So yeah, Rendering Services! For when you DON't have time sign up for sketchfab and to sit and upload models with a very easy model uploader, well you got one man ready for that job :D

How Dis?

Basic as is. You can PM me any craft file you want, and I render them for you. Fill up this thing here:

Name Of Craft :

Category : (Heavy Lifter, Replica, SSTO, Etc. Etc. Can be multiple)

Company : (If None, then Username is what I'll Put)

Up To 5 Details : (For Annotations!)

Link-Pass : (Where you want me to post the link, PM you or post it at your company or whatever)

And WALAH!! Wait a few moments, (Minutes, Hours, Days, YEARS :o Depending on me) and I'll PM you the link, or post it anywhere you'll want me to :D

WARNING!!: Currently, with the sketchfab converter, there are bugs with struts and fuel lines, so beware! Model renders could get quite messy with excessive struts!! But these do not reflect the actual craft file when loaded in-game.

I want do Dis Miself!!

Me being too slow? Well No Problem! It's quite easier for you to do this by yourself, REALLY :D Just follow this video here:

Now, isn't that too easy? :D It's YOUR TURN :D

Dude it's a really cool thread but could you remove my craft? I'd rather not having it being showcased if it's with such glitches... ;) Thanks

I'll make it myself by removing the buggy parts before converting

Actually, since I'm at work and I won't likely have the time to sit in front of my home computer and do it in the whole weekend (Nice weekend trip! Yay summer! :))... could you perhaps do the Longsword? Most of the details and the link for the file is in the thread, ask if I forgot anything. Just to have a nice form-format:

Name Of Craft : Longsword

Category : Heavy Lifter, SSTO.

Company : R-SUV, of course

Up To 5 Details : See the craft description for details? I wrote a nice guide there.

Link-Pass : Err... R-SUV, I guess, or its thread but I can lift the link from anywhere (don't worry, I'll credit it of course)

Also, let this message serve as congrats on a nice idea, because I have run out of rep for you until more awesomeness comes to the forum.

Rune. I'm overly proud of that one.

So, what parts dont get rendered?

Well everything gets rendered, but struts tend to get their connecting end offset by some reason.

- - - Updated - - -

Docking port covers are not rendered, cargobays are always open, chute covers are not rendered, only the basic wheels are deployed when rendered, I'm diving deep into the codes here :/

- - - Updated - - -

The couplers are not rendered, need toimport it as materials first. Darnmit.

Here's Longsword!! :D

Added some annotations, just tell me if you want them out.

PS, The couplers are not rendered for some beta reasons. May need to dive into that.

Don't worry, it actually shows some of the innards of that engine assembly so it's cool. Thanks! And the annotations are funny... but just out of curiosity, where are you from? Your english is peculiar ;)

Rune. Not that mine is perfect, by a long shot.

The small 0.625 SAS is also rendered as 1.25m, the Vernor engines are way smaller than they should be and structural bi/tri/quadcouplers are also rendered as empty air. You should maybe include a list of that parts in the OP, so everybody can see what he should *maybe* change.

Nice thread idea, by the way! I would submit some of my KME craft here, but I already have a sketchfab account :).

It would be nice if you could do some of my craft- link in sig. Althogh most of them are outdated, there are some that still work.

Well, give me a definition of some, and ALL :D No seriously, specify on what crafts I am to render?

I don't think changing parts would be necessary, because this is rather a recreational preview than anything else really. The craft in-game is what matters most, and this sketchfab thing is, just for those guys who want a render or those who're too lazy to get pics (Like me :P)

A couple of weird glitches left here and there (part scale, decoupler cover) but it's still an awesome tool.

I hope it gets updated soon.

:o AWESOME!! :D How did you fix it?

Thanks I created a second file save and manually removed all the buggy parts and tried to move the over-scaled ones the best I could

And then I also added a few visual effect in sketchfab and changed the field of view. (settings > 3d settings)

Well, it seems that you won't be needing my services any more, you do a fantastic job at rendering!:D

Yay! props to you.

I didn't know that was how rendering was made in ksp.

Should I clear up this one? It could be glorious with the interior.

Would give you rep if the forums lets me :(

What do you mean by clear up? If you meant the struts, I suggest this:

If you want, you can have a craft version that does not have struts to get a clean render, and the strutted version for releases, because struts :D

Same for me.

Ah tricky struts, wasn't so fun finding them all ... lol

It's actually a pretty old craft but I really like being able to look at it from any angle since it's from 0.90 and some parts were removed/replaced sadly.

I'm gonna do that like for the Rogue Scout.
