I paid dearly for this screen, KVV actually offset the parts like this, so I had to rebuild to a bunch of fairings:

I see that on Majorjim's Altair lander, you can see fuel tanks, like this:

But other images of Altair show a housing for the fuel tanks, like this:

Can anyone tell me which is correct?

I think both are. Altair never got beyond renders and mockups, so do whichever way you want.

I don't mind things looking similar, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all. I would prefer peeps not to just copy what I did. I want to see new imaginative designs from you guys!

Alright, sorry for the delays, I was rewatching the new Mad Max. Awesome movie, if you ask me.

New Orion:

I think it emulates the shape pretty well. Here's the slapdash Orion I made for my SLS a few weeks ago, pretty bad. Glad I redid it.

Also, Yukon, your lander fairing seems tiny, especially in proportion to your MTV. What mini delightful payload is hidden in there?

Actually, the fairing is built around a 3.75m decopoler, so I should be able to fit a well designed lander in there.

Also, is noone doing a proper 4-6 man orion? Or is there a hidden command pod or two inside the MK1-2?

If you ask me, you're all better off waiting for ksp unity 5 release with 64 bits support except if you don't mind lag

Funnily enogh, those were the very videos that got me into a bit of Orbiter and a lot of poking around later KSP. Not to rain on your parade though.

If you read the previous posts you will see that two guys said that theirs where looking like my craft. And one said theirs was a copy of mine.

That's why I said I don't min things looking similar but would prefer that people don't just directly copy what I made. In the spirit of creativity.

And in regards to part count I have said before that I didn't want to compromise this time. Yes the landers are over 400 parts each but that was fine in 0.90. Performance will improve. And it's not possible to have this level of detail and low part count.

And that is why I did the simpler Altair version.

Oh and no pics yet, but 6 man Orion is buildt.
