How to create mods?

Okay, so I have been playing KSP quite a long time and pretty worn out, mods and stock and all that. Since KSP is made in unity and i made some complete games with unity i thought to go and mod KSP. I love programming and really hate some features of mods and probably try "fix" some (ofc for personal use under licence .

Question is "How to create mod for KSP". I saw mods use dll files which i have no idea about and never really tried to make a mod. Googling gave me how to install one , any modder out there or someone who knows how to do it please respond with answer or link to answer.

To be fair to the OP, I used that long ago to start playing with modding and I've found most of the linked stuff to be very outdated. Someone needs to do a complete overhaul on the tutorials and update, as well as remove the old stuff.

idk but this seems overwhelming, i will try to find sourcecodes on github of other mods and try go that way. otherwise i will go through that modding section.

I agree they need updating, but keep the old ones, I still use 0.9

Also if you just want video Tutorials I am maintaining This Thread and will be searching every few days for new tutorials.
