It's an addictive little game where you click a cookie to produce more cookies, which you then use to buy different cookie production upgrades.

That game spawned a whole legion of follow-ups. There's Adventure Capitalist, Clicker Heroes, Swarm Simulator or Time Clickers to name a few.

There is even an anime monster girl version called Sakura clicker. So very close to being a hentai game.

These games....it is like someone was trying to do a Skinner box experiment on human and figured out they can make money with it.

Just because a genre wasn't invented by a work doesn't mean that work didn't spawn descendents. Sherlock Holmes wasn't the first detective story, but it was the first super popular one. There were platforming games before Mario, and tragedies before Shakespeare. Do you know of them?

I know, right? So much work.

Not really, though. Actually I just let the game play itself, for the sake of curiosity. I wouldn't consider it an accomplishment, or work. There's a plugin that basically is an autopilot for the game. So I left it running overnight a few times...

TKEP was a very popular thing back in its time.

The difference is that TKEP has a goal - reduce the population to zero.

Baking cookies has no such limit.

It looks like I nuked my previous progress when I was having web browser problems. Once you get a good autoclicker it just ends up being idleRPG anyway.

I prefer to bake real cookies. Tastier than RAM sticks and the smell's a lot better than anything that comes out of a fan vent. They also aren't horrendously copied without care or discretion.

There is.

If you export the save as a text file, you can then save it and email it to yourself.

Go to Menu -> Export Save.

I've decided to let my game keep running in the background to see what happens.
