ive been using cormorant aeronology for some time but never noticed that u can add heat tiles to landing gear. on my last mission i just used non-tiled landing gear. definetly gonna try that as soon as i get to my pc. tnx for telling me about that

Sorry about the docking ports but all Cotares docking ports are compatible to Tantares APAS and Contares CIDAS.

It's posible to change the compatibility via MM-Script but's not planed yet.

The explanation is simple: Clamp-O-Tron has the base diameter 0.625m / 1.25m / 2.5m. CIDAS has only 0.9375m and APAS 0.625m / 0.9375m / 1.25m.

sorry about that. i totally forgot about that and since my recent missions used mostly stock parts and near future tech i didnt notice that i accidently deleted my mm script for usi ls while making another mm script (i have no idea how to create .cfg files and to create a new one i just copy the first old one i find). this time i didnt copy but i just edited existing one and deleted all the work ive done on patch for contares. when i noticed that pods have no supplies in them i just went on the forums and wrote that. i remembered i still had it on dropbox and got all my progress back.

existing patch file will be updated soon since it has a lot of problems as i noticed in my recent 'inspection'.

Just do not hurry, it will be necessary to rewrite the script completely, because many parts are deleted or replaced by new ones.

Btw. Picture of new H-II Transport Vehicle scaled to match Contares-Launcher. How the old, the KTV named ship is of 4 parts:

- cap
- TAC-LS section (can hold 2 kerbals)
- KIS / MP / LFO section
- Avionic and fuel section

Great! also,are the solar planels an individual part now? I don't really mind it but it's just sometimes kinda weird when you have a spacecraft in the solar section in the VAB:P(also they may be useful for other stuff)

Well, since you have quite interpreted and lie 100% beside it. Of course the KTV solar panels are integrated components.

good job with the update. i really like it. especially the ctv and atv. updated usi-ls patch file will be released tomorrow (hopefully). luckily this didnt break my save!

that new cidas port u added... is it compatible with same diameter androdygnus (i think its 46a or 46b) docking port.

Yes, CIDAS is docking-compatible to Tantares APAS and old Contares in same diameter.

@hraban I think that the vernier engines are set up incorrectly on the first stage. They should only gimbal, from looking at the booster head on, from left and right. They move in and out, as in towards the core stage and away from it. Am i making sense?

I think that's only when it's trying to roll. I don't think they really do much at all when trying to pitch or yaw, making it almost impossible to control it.

about what engines you write here. i cant read your mind. RK-Z-107/108 use standard gimbal module and works correct but it looks not good.  RK-Z-107/108 becomes an update on vernier-gimbal-steering next days.

RK-Z-105, RK-Z-0110 and RK-Z-0235 use ModuleGimbal.gimbalRangeY/X and works correct.

yeah. i know about that. im working on it. do u think i should add suplies to reentry vehicles too? i mean... tantares doesnt have them. except that... i know i dont have supplies on morgenrot and federazija. anything left? i will check tac ls but dont expect every part to have the same values.

Oh rip, it was late and I wasn't thinking correct. The Union II booster engines and core stage. You say they work correct but don't look right? I have very much trouble steering it.

Since I do not use USI-LS myself, I hope for a Contares worthy variant.

Please wait for the update and use Mechjeb. The control is not designed for manual operation by sausage fingers :wink::D
