Best Moonar base mods?

KPBS is a great mod, but KAS and KIS are good, you can maker fuel pipes connecting seperate ships without docking or the Klaw. The non-lite MKS is good, but confusing. You also may want the Near Future mods, the nuclear reactors in that mod are useful.

I'm still right. You cannot correct my logic.

Sure I can:

- The OP doesn't specify for which moon the base is intended.

- There are more moons than the Mun and RSS's Moon.

- Thus it is illogical to correct "Moonar" to "Munar" or "Lunar" without knowing which moon the OP is talking about.

Back on topic:

If you don't want to go full-on KAS/KIS for connecting base modules, I really like DMagic's EVA Resource Transfer, it is very lightweight and simple.

A bit biased, but yep I have both MKS-Lite and full on UKS - links in the signatures :)

Plus all of the bits tie in perfectly with the Karibou Rover.

(All bits were brought in with that KIS container in the background)

(And you can rover them about)

I'm currently enjoying Pathfinder, but it is a beta and work in progress. I'm really enjoying it though, I love the aesthetic.

Similar deployment mechanics as the MKS lite, except my container ship is crashed and tipped on it's side out of frame. Skimped a touch on the fuel...

MKS doesn't have IVAs. But it's still a great mod. I usually run it on a separate install with life support to challenge myself, while my main install I run without it.

If you want visuals and want to immerse yourself ingame, I'd suggest Kerbal Planetary Base Systems because of its tremendous IVAs.

If you want to challenge yourself and build self sustaining colonies on the surfaces of other worlds, easily MKS. Roverdude, you've done a tremendous job on that mod. :D

Bobcat's stuff, well, where'd you get that?! I can't find a DL link anywhere!

I've never liked MKS and before yesterday had never heard of KPBS. I must have missed it when it was released.

I gave it a quick spin and came to the only logical conclusion: KPBS is one of those rare mods that deserves to become stock.

All I need now is to figure out a way to cram those modules into one of my shuttles to ship them to Minmus.

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/81754-Release-BobCat-Ind-Space-Planet-products - I think HOME3 & HOME1 are in the same zip now, pick & choose what you want from it. There's a lot of things which are done elsewhere now ( like resource generation ) that need patching out as well as obvious rejiggering for 1.0 ( and career balancing stuff I've not even looked at because I don't do career ).

Actually, almost every MKS module has an IVA... just that they are stock IVA's ;) Now if you want custom IVA's then yes, said princess is in another castle :D

Yep, just making sure since 'No IVA' != 'Stock IVA/IVA could be better'.

Which is fine - it totally makes sense that for some modders, IVAs are a priority. For others, it's gameplay mechanics, and others may focus on the model and texture work. No wrong answers there. It's why it's good to have lots of choices.

It's like, while I like sushi, I would not want a buffet every night of nothing but sushi... sometimes you want a steak ;)

I know that.

Some IVAs fit your models well, and others don't.

I'd say most of the parts that can really use an IVA have a nice one. For many of the parts I honestly don't see the point. For example the MKIII parts don't even have usable windows that you would utilize for anything. They aren't really designed to be "flown" similar to the stock hitchhiker can. So I don't see the point in the time it would take to make or the memory hit for them to have a custom IVA. I mean if it served a useful purpose maybe. But again like the hitchhiker can, it looks cute a couple times to see the kerbals sitting in their chairs, but otherwise they can't really "do" anything inside these parts.

Now pods yes. I have landed a MK V scout pod via IVA and that was fun. The Karibou IVA is great and fun to drive.

Bear in mind there's MKS-Lite now as well - specifically to help folks with the learning curve :)

Yeah, I've been using MKS-lite but there is a glitch with wheels where the brakes don't work. :(

I don't know if it's a compatibility issue or something else, but I have to admit that both MKS and MKS-lite look awesome.
