Hi....

This are some of my KSP screenshots..

Screenshot #1: High orbiting the mun, picking a nice landong spot..this was my third landing attempt after two hard crashs :)

Screenshot #2: Landed successfully after suffering hard time trying not to crash this one too....landed at 15 m/sec!! (tooo much speed).

Screenshot #3: some shots showing my first successful orbit around Kerbin....very nice view of the surface of Kerbin...those bumps and textures are amazing!

Screenshot #4: My first ever minmus landing mission....actually I haven't intended even going to minmus...It was a Mun mission....but accidentally I have overshooted the Munar insertion burn so I found my self captured by Minmus :))

Somebody should calculate the proportion of KSP missions that land successfully but not on the world they were aiming for. It's got to be around 10%. :)

Today marks another big leap forward for my space program: the MunRov-1 mission safely landed the first wheels on another celestial body! This minirover, piloted by Milbles Kerman, was successfully delivered to the Kerner-von-Braun crew, landed on the far side of the Mun since last week, and should dramatically improve the exploration abilities of the mission.

•Landing, Kerbal-style.

The munbase grows, now housing 18 Kerbal scientists.

Looking good! Great, even. When I think I rejoiced so hard for getting my first rover delivered to an already-landed crew (see my previous post)...^^

Actually, inspired by your Torus Hab, I tried -a while back- to build a surface hab based around 3 crew tanks myself, the main difference being that in my version, the crew tanks were ordered in triangle, and a tiny return stage allowed the hab deliverer to head back to Kerbin straight away. Alas, I think it made my processor and graphic card cry, so it never got further than the launchpad.

I used about 5+ mods and some .cfg editing to create a functioning telescope. It can currently land anywhere on the planet, but I'm working on making a lander for minmus and the mun.

screenshot816.png

The camera on the back is a view finder, I edited the telescope part to be a fixed camera with an FOV of 5.

Unfortunately, it doesn't actually work for viewing the Mun, but you can use it to survey your surroundings. I hope to put a mobile version on the Mun to look for artifacts.

ah! a contender! I have actually made the same telescope (minus the hinge, and it's space based)

I have had one on my LunoStancaya-2 station and it helped me discover the second munar arch (gif will be up shortly)

Well, It's been a while since I've posted here, so.....

Here's the Kerb car. A car for zooming kerbals around KSC, or on the moon! It uses Landing gear as parking breaks.

attachment.php?attachmentid=33015&d=1347744491

I have parked the original crew at KSC were they can watch every one of my launches and not die. Here's Bob by the runway.

Bill and Jeb wanted to watch my rocket launches, so they are 3 KM away from the pad.

From left to right: Bill's car,launch pad, Jeb, Bill, Jeb's broke car.

Download for the car below. Put it in the SPH, BTW.

by "it doesn't actually work for viewing the mun" do you mean that when looking at the moon there is no zoom compared to the view finder? or is the zoom only in effect when you are viewing your surroundings on kerbin?

Oh my Jool, those last few posts are among the most beautifully genius I had the chance to read on the forums this far...! :confused:

Good sirs/ladies, I tip my hat to both of you. And humbly beg you for more shots done using your telescopes; I mean look at this gorgeous Mün!

Also, which mods did you use? I recognise Nova's Probodobidyne and the Fixed Cameras mod, but you spoke of 5 mods, LucidLemon...? And would you mind going in the details of your .cfg edits? I'd like to try and build a telescope myself now :)

Again, and at the risk of repeating myself: bravo.

Thanks! All that's required for the .cfg edit is to post this at the bottom of the telescope piece's part file. (with Probododobyne and the camera mod installed, of course)

MODULE
{
name = MuMechModuleHullCamera
cameraName = Hull
cameraForward = 0, 1, 0
cameraUp = 0, 1, 0
cameraPosition = 0, 0.37, 0
cameraFoV = 5
}

As for the mods, the number has changed a bit, because parachutes don't exactly work on the mun.

Right now I have

The telescope itself:

Damned Robotics

Probodobyne (modified scope)

Fixed Camera

BACE

The lander:

Test Weights (modified piece to be slightly heavier)

Armstrong Memorial Plaque

Mechjeb

Truss Pack

Novapunch

I think I have too many mods installed. The only stock parts on the thing are the RCS blocks.

I might make a more download friendly version in a bit, so I can post it.

Oh, thanks for the details LucidLemon! I hope I can start working on it tomorrow; I do have Probodobyne, BACE, MechJeb and the Fixed Cameras mods installed, so I'll have a try and let you know what I could come up with :)

I'll gaze one last time at this beautiful Mün shot by KAO, hang on.... I'm done. Going to bed now!

Here's a few more screenshots of the first time I landed a rover (Liltrak) on the Mun.

fEpkZ.jpg

The boosters weren't powerful enough to lift me off the pad, so I just jettisoned them while they were burning.

DjrvT.png

The rover is attached to a platform on top of a small lander.

It's supposed to use RCS to lift itself off the platform, but I just drove it right off instead as it did not work.

After a 10km drive to a nearby crater, a Kerbal poses for a picture by the Liltrak.
