I can assure you that I, the poster of the thread, did not contact the Community prior to posting. Its not a complaint really, just slightly poking fun (that Mono tank is cooler looking that the LFO equivalent) and mashing it up with our friendly neighborhood Moon Landing Conspiracy types that are so prevalent on the internet. No Kerbals or Mexican computer game developers were harmed in the posting of the thread!

Lel, Squid. A very valid complaint, sadly.

Yup, RCS tank with Poodle engine. Clearly KASA faked the Munlandings.

ITS NOT A MISTAKE!!!

Thats why they couldnt land safely. the stage that brought them to the mun was jettisoned a Long time ago and they couldnt slow down with that fuel/engine, so they crashed ;)

You guys have to use your mind fantasy :P

I think Kerbin is backwards, too. That seems a common affliction in KSP renderings, mainly because the texture map is reversed left to right ingame, so extracting the map gives you something mirrored from what it actually looks like ingame.

Yup, it is definitely inverted. I knew there was something wrong with that Kerbin as soon as put the eyes on it, but couldn't put the finger on it

Anyway I was going to say that atleast this was a better work than the old Mun starting screen ( that was also as fake as it could be ) , but nope : the lander and the kerbal are iluminated by atleast two diferent sources of light and Kerbin, besides being inverted, somehow got a axial tilt ( and it is summer on the northern hemisphere ;) ), Squad, can't you even fake things right ? ;)

Yes, it was probably an budgeting thing, they got funds and contract for going to Mun but wanted to go to Duna instead.

Its an joke about the Moon landing conspiracy, it was an cower up for an Mars landing.
