Node Alarm for non-current missions.

Recommended Posts

I'd like to be able to design maneuvers for long-term (years) missions, and then switch to doing other missions in the meantime.
KSP should raise an alarm when the planned maneuvers are coming up in the next few days or so.

"Your mission XYZ is about to have a maneuver in T-XdXhXm, would you like to switch to that view? [switch] [snooze]"

Thanks.

The mod Kerbal Alarm http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24786-1-0-x-Kerbal-Alarm-Clock-v3-4-0-0-(June-27) clock does exactly that. Many people would like to see it become stock

A simple KAC in stock would be amazing. KAC is a very powerful, and complex, tool though. I'm thinking of a (mod expandable) simple alarm clock, something like:

"Stopwatch" icon in toolbar, lists all events set when clicked.

Maneuver nodes are automatically added to the alarms with the alarm being something like (NodeTime - 5 minutes).

Clicking the button also allows you to add a MET-specific alarm that you can custom name.
Nothing super complex for the first iteration in stock. Having automatic alerts of Maneuver nodes would be the main feature, and being able to set custom alerts can be used for everything else (landed craft, etc.)

I think for KSP to be a good kerbal space program, some form of Kerbal alarm clock is definately needed.

In another thread on the forum Snark mentioned this idea: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137206-Add-Maneuvers-tab-to-tracking-station Edited by nikokespprfan
