[Suggestion] Auto rep over time active.

I think that forum users should be rewarded with an automatic rep for every week/month that they are active members of the forum. Why? not everyone makes awesome mods or crafts or fan works, but i think they should still be rewarded for their devotion to the forum.

I do neither and I still do rather well for myself.


Here are some rep tips:

-post about how 1.0 was rushed.
-tell people the barn was an awful idea
-speak your mind on divisive issues
-use snark in the correct situations.

Thats how I got where I am.

I simply believe that users should get rewards for the amount of time they spend on the forum.

There are some long-inactive accounts which would suddenly be high-rep.

My only question is this: why? Rep doesn't give you any special advantage or treatment. The way it is, it helps you identify quickly good community contributors and helpful posters. How long a user's been here doesn't mean he's helpful, nice, or contributed significantly to the community.

It's honestly just meaningless internet points.

No they would still be low because what I suggest is that players would receive a small amount of rep for every week or so that they are active.

This would require the forum software to check each of the [COLOR=#3E3E3E]153,098 forum accounts every week to see if it has been active. Setting that up would be a bit of a project. I'm sorry, but I don't see this happening. [/COLOR]

replace child by newcomer rep could sometime lead you to the darkside somehow if you missread it ; ) (whenever your in the darkiside just wait for the next morning usually it work)
